Vortex arrived from Pulse yesterday.

So... did we know that he's completely compatible with Superion? Same keying for connecting to the arms. His front wheels even line up perfectly with the frame indentations for the jets' rear wheels.

Either there is something planned for compatibility specifically between the Aerialbots and Combaticons for the sake of Nexus Prime, or Hastak decided to design in some Scramble City functionality for everyone except Menasor.

If Hasbro were doing scramble city then they would of ensureed that not only can all bots attach to the skeletion but also spilt for the arms as that's where these combiners fall short because I want Airraid to be a arm, not a leg, I might end up having my new Aerial bots be just seperate bots for display rather than combined and keep the CW verison combined for display purposes, besides I'm not a fan of the new Superion head desgin, just looks awakard in my view

The new combiners definitely aren't full Scramble City combiners, but they do have some of that functionality. Even with Menasor, you can swap his limbs with Superion. You just have to swap the frame sections rather than just the bot itself. Now, it appears they've gone one step further where the arm bots can be swapped between Superion and Bruticus without having to also swap the frames. That would seem to extend only to the arms, since it appears Bruticus will be closer to Devastator and Liokaiser in that the frame appears to only extend to the knee.

I could definitely see a new Alpha Bravo coming based on this implementation. I wouldn't mind getting a new Offroad too.

I was hoping the 'Pulse Combiner' leak listing was Monstructor, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was a TFCC homage Nexus Prime homage, like how they did Gift Set Menasor. Was Nexus one of the statues in the pictures? I've totally lost track of who was who in art vs. toy at this point or where we are in it.

It also occurred to me that Onslaught's truck guns are used on his and Bruticus's backs, so maybe the way to get around less combiner frame mass is to not make a base mode at all. Instead, just have the flat back part of the truck detach cleanly and leave it as a helipad/launch platform for the Combaticons flyers, Astrotrain/Galaxy Shuttle style?
