I don't care about the Thirteen. I just care about neat toys. So far I've only bought Solus and the Fallen (and Vector Prime from the last line), and I might buy Onyx. Micronus is neat, but I'm gonna wait for reviews before deciding.

I feel similar, thou I bought one less Prime than you, so I only got the Fallen, the other desgins aren't saying buy me as they just don't really fit into G1 in terms of general desgin, sort of lacking the blocky appearance that some of the characters have, thou it might be me, nicpicking!

I definitely fall into the "Don't care about the Thirteen" camp. Picked up Solus Prime on principle, and hoping to find Alchemist Prime in stores (may put a preorder in yet) , but I put in a preorder on Micronus because he just looks like a cool set.

So we've seen eight of the Thirteen at this point, and we have leaks telling us the price classes of the remaining five. Given what we've seen so far, I'm curious what everyone's expectations are for the remaining releases. Keeping in mind that the AotP statue art has thus far mostly shown what the figures look like, but with a few false indicators (e.g. Star Convoy's PMOP chest and Alpha Trion's beard), as well as that the later figure designs probably weren't as far along at the time it was drawn, here are my thoughts:

Vector Prime (Voyager) - I'm assuming he'll just be a rerelease of Legacy Vector Prime. The only worthwhile things I can think of to do otherwise would be some minor retooling (e.g. non-wire shins), and maybe a second sword and/or deco changes if they want to bring in more CoP elements. But so far, they've been focusing way more on media appearances than CoP, so I don't think that's likely.

Liege Maximo (Leader) - We already know he's going to be based on G2 - big and beefy like his brief G2 appearance and the AotP box art. What's he going to transform into, though? He's such an oddly organic-looking robot. I could see him being a second beast-mode bot. Onyx is the elder of the two, so he would still be the first, but Hasbro might want him to stay the only beast in the Thirteen. Otherwise, maybe they just tone down all the tentacles and turn him into a Cybertronian hunk of something. I'm curious what they'll do for his darts, since they're the only relic that don't seem to be included in the AotP art as far as I can see, unless maybe they're his fingers that he can fire off or something.

Quintus Prime (Deluxe) - I'm assuming he'll be heavily based on Earthspark, but that still leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I mean, he's basically just a guy in a robe there. My best guess is that maybe he basically flips inside out into something with a more Quintesson-based appearance? Then again, the box art is pretty heavily based on CoP. Maybe they dislike, or couldn't come up with any good ideas for, Earthspark Quintus. Or box art Quintus is the inside-out Earthspark Quintus...

Amalgamous Prime (Voyager) - The art suggests that maybe Amalgamous will be based on his One appearance, just with a discrete head added on top. Looking at the art, it kinda looks like maybe you could collapse his head down into his torso to give more of his One look. I could see that being an undocumented, unofficial mode though, since that's awfully close to being ED-209. The price point seems too small to be a multi-changer like I was expecting though, so I'm curious just what they'll do with him. Maybe going with the multiple head configuration idea, he'll have other configuration options, like being able to combine his arms into a more traditional two arms, being able to switch his legs to a normal knee articulation, maybe similarly being able to split his legs into two pairs... Could be kinda neat if he could switch back and forth between a normal bot and some eight-limbed, no-headed bot.

Nexus Prime (Voyager) - Now this one really confuses me. I was really expecting Nexus to be a full combiner, maybe as a gift set with some redecoed members from other teams. Barring that, he'd surely be a combiner torso, right? These days, that typically means being a Commander if they're including the full frame. I could see pulling off a good combiner torso as a Leader if any limb bots are borrowing their frame pieces from their normal combiner. But as a Voyager? I mean, they obviously did just that during Prime Wars, but the engineering has changed a lot since then, and a PWT torso would be a bit undersized compared to all the other modern combiners. I wonder if instead he'll be like an alternate option that you can plug into other combiner frames, like an Onslaught replacement. I could see it being pretty neat if he's like a universal torso, able to slot into multiple frames. That might be tricky to pull off though unless they just make the bot-to-frame interface common across all the combiners. It would be disappointing if they implement that sort of universal interface for all the combiners going forward, and Motormaster/Menasor gets left out by virtue of having come first. It makes me really curious if it might be possible to swap Motormaster and Silverbolt within their frames though.

Final thought, following on the idea that maybe there's some sort of well or other accessory to hold all the relics, I would absolutely love it if such an accessory can also interface with all the Prime Masters.

My guesses:

Vector - Repaint

Leige - G2 Gut to some sort of bulbous green Cybertronian Taku Tanku like tank.

Quintus - Quintesson ish tall thin robot to either a Quintesson or a Quintesson spiral starship.

Amalgamous - Either a Triple-changer with slightly simple/similar Cybertronian vehicle modes or a -izer of some sort that comes apart and can be reassembled or stuck on others a million different ways.

Nexus - In my dreams:

or something close.

-ZacWilliam, would also take Leige into some kind of base.

I had that set when I was a kid! One of those things that got a ton of play until it was too worn out to hold together and pieces started falling off and getting lost. At the time, I was completely unaware of the rest of the Diakron line and their relationship to Transformers. I was also unaware of that line being the source of the DK-X names that have been applied to some recent TF redecos until I just thought to search for Diakron on the wiki! 😅

I don’t care about the 13 either way aside from two things:
1. There’s way too many of them
2. Optimus being an OG member is dumb

That said, I buy cool toys and most of them have been cool. Skipped only Prima so far. Being thoroughly unremarkable on top of having bland colors and a doofy head don’t do it for me.

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

I mean... I want to say that for one of the headline figures of this particular line you're probably wrong... but then you look at how balls wild they went with onyx prime and start thinking "but the budget!" cause they seem to have run out of coin when it came to his paint apps...

Flip a coin, I think. Straight 50/50 chance.

Onyx actually has quite a lot of paint details. It's just that a lot of them are small silver or gold bits that don't do enough to counteract all the brown. Also, quite a few are done in a different shade of brown. It's a lot of paint but it unfortunately lacks impact or contrast.

It was hard to care about "the first 13 Transformers" when up until this toyline barely two of them looked like they could turn into anything.

I looked at the Sandstorm pics and wow, he's nearly identical to the original release. About the only difference I can see is the helicopter nose being silver instead of black and maaaybe a different orange. That really sucks for early adopters who wanted the cartoon face.

They could re-release a recent TT Diaclone toy as a "titan" pierced recolour?

You know, I've looked at that AotP artwork several times through the day, as well as however many other times I've looked at it since it was first revealed. I know I recognized it at first, but somehow I'd forgotten and kept completely overlooking the fact that it shows all the statues standing around the Well. It finally just smacked me in the face a few minutes ago when I was going through closing some tabs I'd left open. So yeah, I could definitely see some sort of Well accessory getting released at some point to hold all the Prime relics.
