Oh wow...I actually remember the FrenzyRumble custom combiners and their Unicron pelvises...GIT OFFA MAH LAWN, YA DANG KIDS!!! GIT!!! SHOO- dangnabbit, there goes mah trick knee/bladder again...
Now I'm wondering if we'll ever get some sort of Decepticon and Autobot cassette mini-combiners.

I don't mean like Slamdance and Squawkbox, but more like Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw combining into something, a robot or something else.

Ditto the Autobot crew.

That's another sign to watch for if I get hired but can't say anything. Stealth combiners. In Titans Return they could not have stopped me from building an early Diaclone style combiner out of Titan Master vehicles. Something like Gats Blocker, but probably not quite so many pieces. I've absolutely thought about making a combiner out of cassettes as well.

I wish he was in scale with the other G1 Combiners, but I like him.

Nonnef had said on Bluesky that he plans to have a sample of his first shell design up at TFCon Orlando. I wouldn't make solid plans as he is a one-man shop who tends to do things at his own speed, and some projects shown didn't pan out for cost or other reasons, but his estimates were shells would have to be about six inches to both hold the robot and have some posability. I wonder if they could be downsized a bit by making them just statues sort of like G1 with enough cavity space inside to hold the bot.

I know the G1 toy was micromaster sized, but from what I’ve seen, and I’ll say it’s limited to IDW / Dreamwave comics, he’s been normal combiner size.
I think this figure is fantastic and I’m glad we are finally getting a new version of him. Other than 3rd party (maybe?) or merging the Beast Hunter Abominus with the Go! (I think that was the line?) recolor we obviously haven’t had a modern update on him.

His size in IDW was often inconsistent, but that's pretty typical for combiners anywhere. His components were fairly standard-sized, but Monstructor was sometimes big enough to wrestle with Omega Supreme, who was generally the largest bot around short of the Titans. Then in Revelations, he's not much bigger than Banzai-tron's team while fighting them (although the same panel also has Onslaught drawn at about a third the size of Blast Off, so.....). In another issue he was big enough to get rammed by the Lost Light, which is canonically 10 miles wide and 15 miles long, because the writers have no sense of scale.

This might be my favorite version of the "If I get rich, I won't tell anyone, but there will be signs" meme yet.

He's in my PoL too. I still have 41 days to go before it expires. I love the service, but I hate forcing myself to hold off on hitting that ship button!

My Onslaught has been processing since last week along with three other things. Getting a little antsy at this point about it.

I guess there's one upside in this case that helps: Swindle isn't going to be arriving until after Onslaught anyway. If I were just waiting on Onslaught to be able to complete the team and form Bruticus, it would be MUCH harder to show any restraint.
