I'll hibernate until they get around to G1 Nightbeat
I feel like we are due for a set of the small Autobot Headmasters/Headmasters Juniors. Even though we just got a Minerva in Legacy Evolution, would be nice to get all 3 in a unified design aesthetic with a version of their Headmaster gimmick intact. We got the Decepticons, so I am hopeful.

Kinda wish Super7 would do the Headmaster Junior kids and the Pretenders in their ReAction+ line. Battle Armor and normal human versions.

With all these Bee molds that aren't very big I'd love a commemorative/Selects/whatever set of one of them painted up nicely, with a simple Pretender shell. Posability on par with Oil Slick/Double Pretender Prime should be doable and only half the set needs to be new.

Oilmaster's shell wasn't a work of Hasbro's making, though. It was made by Boss Fight Studio.

I ain't digging up ancient threads for these. Anyway, again from Jtprime17 at tfw2005, apparently the SDCC "Throne of the Prime" exclusive might be getting reissued?

Also, shockingly NOT from Jtprime17, but a listing for Greenlight showed up, which I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to hear if it winds up panning out.

Honestly if Hasbro decides that reissuing hard to get exclusives is a way to get some easy dough, that's one cost cutting measure I wouldn't mind.

EDIT: Also I'm hearing scuttlebutt that the next line is MGR RST and may stand for Megatron Rising: Resistence.

Maybe someone at Hasbro like Metal Gear.

It is a very okay figure, made downright gorgeous by the black, gray, and red deco of the Throne version.

TFW2005 user Nune found some documentation on Hasbro Germany's website that suggests a possible Runabout reissue coming (thank god)

Also Shattered Glass Starscream, for some reason.

It's leak season, bay-bee!

I mean, the brick isn't even bad in itself, as if memory serves, it basically doubles/functions as the big brick that's already a part of Optimal Optimus's design.

As its own thing? Well, it's no Hot Rod. But as just sort of a little bonus feature? It's fine.

Heck, I seem to recall the robot mode being decent enough. The vehicle mode just isn't much of anything to write home about.

I just assumed that Optimus Primal in this continuity was very poor, and so he decided to transform into his own coffin to save future funeral expenses. He had the traditional Maximal funeral in this universe where they ceremonially shove the coffin into the first passing large cyber-animal, and Optimal Optimus was born! But later OpOp was looking at the internet, and came across one of those pictures that says “When you see it, you’ll-“ and he DID, and so Optimus Primal returns!

-My personal canon is weird at times, I admit.

People keep telling me how bad that Op Op mold is but I still kinda want it.

Its good for its time, DNA addon kit improved a few features and gave him his missing alt mode, bigger wings, better hands and bigger wrist guards! The figure has nearly everything most modern figures have in terms of movement, the only thing it lacks is ankle rockers for daymatic poses, while the S1 Optimus Primal is about the same, the alt mode is a brick as it has to form the chest and the head of the bigger robot as well as the back, plus it has a Matrix where the core can be swapped out for a titan master or a alterative core!

Throne of the Primes is a surprising re-release. I mean, good on them for trying to get rare things back out onto the market, but that particular one just feels so much a "product of it's time" that it feels weird to see it come back out.

The brick is so bad that for me it loops around to being endearing, so if that's the main thing wrong with it then I imagine I should like it.

It’s not even bad as we usually define it. It fits together well and designed to do its function properly. It’s just that its function is to be a flat platform.

For me, the worst part about the brick is how loosely it connects to the main robot mode's body. It contains OpOp's head and forms his front and back torso, yet it pops off the body so easily.

Yeah, especially with the cost increases in the years since it was originally released. One part of me is hoping this is because we’re getting Primal Prime in the mainline, and the reissue is a “well, might as well” sort of deal.

I think it’s more to the fact that, relative to the other “Evolution Leaders”, Primal ended up getting the shortest end of the stick When it came to his “core” component. The character’s entire EXISTENCE is based on him being a beast alt mode character, and I think a LOT feel that Hasbro “copped out” by relegating the character into a literal slab block that was just required to complete the vehicle and robot modes of his “Prime mode”.
