If we get a Titan Unicron I hope it's a smaller Titan like Star Convoy, so they can pack in some neat engineering instead of worrying about load bearing. I'm still waiting for a Unicron that replicates the dramatic head reveal of the TFTM transformation, with planet hemispheres sliding apart to finish the torso at the same time. The Entity prototype did this, but it has never again been attempted. The more famous prototype kept the head reveal, but gutted the torso transformation. Nothing else is even close.

I want a Unicron that's small and enjoyable to handle. BIGGEST EVER!!!oneone! is done. SECOND BIGGEST EVAR!! isn't exciting. Just make a toy.
I'll second the "I want a small Unicron" opinion. It's not like he'll ever scale with anything anyway. Ideally, I'd want a Core Class Unicron, so it's portable and it has a fun transformation, or a Voyager Class, just enough engineering budget to make it good and screen accurate.

To my mind the sweet spot, perhaps unsurprisingly, would be Deluxe again. (I am thinking of a Cybertron Unicron style take, not a planet, although I'd LOVE a tiny transforming planet.) Comparatively small (to the Leader class Unicron Soldier and certainly to HasLab Unicron for those who have one) and lends itself well to army building, and a size that can more readily mix it up with the regular bots.

Unicron doesn't even scale with himself from shot to shot. He's whatever size the animators said this time. Scale is for mortals.

Maybe take a page from The Thing's book and make a deluxe Unicron head that transforms into an eldritch Unicron horror?

Reuse ideas for the Thirteen moulds

Prima- I think you could get a Sunbo Sentinel Prime out of him. You'd just need a new truck front, chest plate, and head.

Solus- That vehicle mode is way too RiD '15 Razorclaw coded to not do something with it. Maybe his sister Sharpclaw from Last Bot Standing.

Megatronus- You could get a really cool IDW Megatron out of him.

Alchemist- Prime Ratchet

Onyx- Cybertron Scourge?

Micronus- ??

Alpha Trion- ??

Quintus- ??

Amalgamous- ??

Liege- Unicron/Unicron Cultist

Nexus- Scattershot?

Star Convoy- Powermaster Optimus/God Ginrai?

I'd really rather a smaller PMOP (If it's, say, a Commander class PMOP and Leader Ginrai, sure). The rest are also likely to be quite fun. TBH while I'm passing on the Primes out of necessity, I'm curious as to how else they can be used.

I agree that the FFOD head on Prima and the general truckyness of the altmode make U-Haul Robot a good shout.

Solus Prime, IDK. Probably a lot of retooling in any case. Animated Elita 1 would be very unexpected. I've been waiting for a Velocity for some time, this might not be a bad start. Or the Mistress of Flame (retool the hammer) or one of the other Camiens.

Micronus... Pretender Scrounge would be wild.

Maybe they can play with the reverse of the Scourge to Alpha Trion track, and make "The Burden Hardest To Bear" Matrix-corrupted Lumpy Scourge. But that seems like a waste.

A heavy retool of Quintus into a Vok (fold up into a skull shape instead of a squid shape) feels like it could be interesting, but that's a LOT to retool.

Nexus as Wing Saber, and the limbs as Prime Force drones, sounds like a silly fun time.

Alchemist... someone from the House of Ambus? The body shape makes me also think of Bulkhead or Rhinox. Cyberverse Maccadam colors are also right there I guess. Uh... Animated Sentinel Prime?

I'm likely the only one, but I still want a Flaming Hot Megatronus that doubles down on the Fallen-ness and just goes for broke with it being all black and charcoal (no purple) and giving it whatever paint treatment in orange and yellow that would really sell the walking furnace glow he has going on. And maybe a bajillion more flame effect pieces. (some third party made sweet-looking ones for SS86 Hot Rod). I agree that the upper body would work great for a broad-chested IDW Megs and the cylinder shoulders seem easy enough to make work. I've done a bit of a causal, slow re-read of the era that's making me miss the designs, so I'd like to see this tried. But the wide-set hips feel a little incongruous with Milne's art.

Onyx likewise has another color scheme (IDW i think) that I think people are more into. It's also not very "onyx" (black), being shades of blue and purple, but it is a very handsome look. Other than that, I think the Cybertron Scourge color scheme (the Cryo Scourge colors are actually similar to the IDW Onyx colors) would be great.

Amalgamous... as long as it isn't Shockwave, tbh. Maybe even give him an entirely new head thats non-humanoid in a different way.

I wonder if there'd be any interest in a Hall of the Primes box set that has all twelve as the gold statues they're depicted as on the packaging. Sort of like a Golden Lagoon thing.

I'd much rather have an entirely new mold for Powermaster Optimus. He would definitely sell enough to justify it.
It never crossed my mind before that the Vok have no toys. Maybe because they're all ethereal and stuff?
A more furnacy Fallen would be cool.

Ginrai got an MP already. Give us Commander PMOP. I could give or take Apex Bomber.

Agreed. My concern is 100% on getting a good PMOP. If they want to do a Weaponizer Apex Bomber at some point that adds to him, great, but I don't want Optimus compromised to make room for him.

On the flip side, we already got a PMOP and Super Ginrai during TR. I don't want another afterthought God/Apex Bomber.

Personally, I find PMOP to be overly chunky at times to the point of being impractical, and Ginrai to be slimmed down almost to the point of parody. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd lean toward PMOP. However, I really feel like that design would work best somewhere in between.

Whichever way they go, I really want the Bomber combination to be engineered in from the start. I really liked PMOP as a kid, but the Commemorative Series release made me truly fall in love with it. I want to see that get an update more on par with HasLab Victory Saber.

But can we get one that doesn't suck this time?
I certainly hope so. But while the Bomber isn't something everyone cares about, it absolutely is something a lot of us care about. So it's going to happen, one way or another. We've already seen how poorly it works trying to add him onto a completed release that wasn't planned for it. So for a big portion of us, a PMOP that isn't engineered for it up front is going to suck no matter what they do with the base PMOP.

I think the best way to do Godbomber/Apex would be as a separate figure, in weaponizer style, probably a voyager. That way, Powermaster Optimus can have all the budget to himself (which would probably need to be commander already to do him justice). And Apex could be sold on his own despite being obscure/initially dependent on another figure by being more modular and adaptable to multiple figures. The way the original toy works by itself and interacts with Optimus means it can be done with minimal (if any) compromise.

Here you go!

As for PMOP, as much as I'd love something toy accurate, I guess Ginrai scratches that itch well enough (not that I can afford it).

In any case, I'd love to see the comics/commercial rendition of PMOP get translated into toy form:
