Since the start of Trump's war, gas here in the midwest has risen over 30 cents. Prices at the local walmart have already jumped several percentage points. Everything is suddenly more expensive and it is literally just since the bombs dropped.

Yup. Jam up the Strait of Hormuz with strife, and this is one of the results.

Prices in KC are over 3 bucks a gallon.
An interesting little thing. Walmart here in Ottawa had 55 inch Roku TVs for 155 clearance 4 days ago. Today, 179. The same tvs, still allegedly on clearance. Just an extra 20.

Thanks to Trump we've seen price jumps everywhere. And yet, not content to slow hug American families into bonded servitude, we've followed a corrupted Israeli government into a war that will do nothing except accelerate this descent into financial ruin. The good news is that outside of the hardcore, most of the GOP has come to the realization that things aren't going their way.
Looking at the Washington Post and editorials in Fortune and USA Today we see the American oligarchy in full on panic, desperate to convince the lowliest that taxing the billionaires and wealthy won't do anything. But they know the window has shifted too far and a major adjustment is coming. The only question is whether Trump tries to seize the midterms. He knows if he doesn't it will be his end, but at the same time, attempting to do so will also end badly for him. So which choice do we make?

I fully expect him to go for it. Even when he was at his best (which, I must specify, is his best, which was never great), he had no real concept of consequences. All he's gonna see is that, right now, things aren't going his way, and he's going to be as characteristically heavy-handed as he can in grabbing at power. The question is how many of the Guardians of Pedophiles will fall in line behind him and how many will go for damage control.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

Republicans all voted for trump in the war resolution act. I mean, it's great to get yet another clear example of their treason on paper, but...

Let's hope their current lawyer is as good as the one they had back in the '80s.

Because they're thieves.

You nailed it.

They're all charlatans and shitheels. Con artists with no sense of taste or culture, and wholly bereft of any creative talent. All they can do is either look over the shoulders of the talented and copy what they think they see, or tear down and destroy, and act as if it's all some grand and wholly original accomplishment.

The whole lot of them make me wish I believed in hell.
