It hasn't been that long since the Democrats beat him. They had an unusually difficult situation last year and still made a strong showing.
Except for the part where 90 million democrat voters didn't like the black woman and didn't show up.
Yeah, but aside from that... strong showing.
I voted for her and hoped she would win and expected her to win until a week or so before the election. But she was the candidate because she had to be. If they had been able to have a primary, they probably wouldn't have run her and they probably won't run her next time.
Honestly, the only reason I'd think he *would* run would be if Trump was the other nominee, and it seemed that only Obama could stop him. (And, yeah, I'm aware that the intention, that only a president with two non-consecutive terms would be allowed to run for a third, would specifically preclude even that)
But in that scenario? Yeah, I'd buy it.

You're probably thinking it could never happen here, but it could. It has before.
Yeah but the government already started pretending COVID was over years ago. The CDC has probably been focusing on ways to mitigate whatever unknown thing is coming next, and now we're going to be the only country on earth that's completely unprepared for it.
It'll be morbidly fascinating to watch all of the human plague rats from the last go round defiantly refuse to socially distance, wear masks or even take the eventual vaccine when something even worse than covid hits us.
And other countries won't even need to do anything except ban Americans from coming into the country, which I'm sure they're all looking for an excuse to do anyway.
So, there are now stories coming out of a detention center in Miami, a staging ground for people being forcibly deported by the Trump administration. Reports are saying that detainees only get 1 cup of water an hour and are subject to inhumane conditions that have led to 3 deaths already. The word being thrown around is 'concentration camp'.
The US doesn't subscribe to the international court, no american will ever go to the hague as a defendant. Which is something else that has to change in the future.
