On that note, how many of you are still holding out hope that remakes of 2 and 3 are actually forthcoming? I figured if it was ever going to happen, they'd want to get it done in time for the new one.
Metroid Prime 3 was built around the Wii Waggle, so I think the big issue is trying to integrate all that gameplay into a standard control scheme. It’s similar to the issues Skyward Sword faced in potential ports. But with the mouse functionality on Switch 2, that seems like a viable alternative.
But I also recall that MP2 and 3 didn’t have anywhere NEAR the impact and sales that MP1 did, so that might be a factor as well.
Well, MP3 is just audio, while MP4 gives you audio and video, so I'd say you're okay with just skipping to MP4.I'm really looking forward to playing MP4, but I never did get around to MP3. I'd like to finally play that first. My Wii currently isn't hooked up, though. Have it prepped to add an HDMI output to it, just need to clear out my work area. I'm done with work for the year after Friday, so I'm hoping to work on that next week.
Actually have a bunch of projects like that I want to work on. Re-capping my NES & SNES, fixing my horribly drifting PS4 controllers with hall-effect joysticks, etc.

I'm holding out for MP5 which gives you audio, video and Smell-O-Vision.Well, MP3 is just audio, while MP4 gives you audio and video, so I'd say you're okay with just skipping to MP4.
There's some stuff where you move the nunchuck to manipulate Samus' hand, so a bit more than just a pointer. Could probably just automate a lot of those sequences, and map things like yanking with the grapple beam to just a button press. A bit more work than a standard remaster, but not a lot.I've never played 3, so I don't know how reliant it was on waggle gimmicks. I was under the impression that they just swapped out the dual analogs for some sort of stick-to-move, point-to-aim setup like the Call of Duty ports. Which might have led to a need for more precise aiming, but otherwise shouldn't have made it too hard to port to anything with a gyro.
Only reason it's not in my signature right now is because I feel it'd lose something without the context of the thread.I say we repeatedly quote this from now on so that the memory of what he did is always right in front of him.
I've heard the Switch 2 sales are down. IMO the problem is they relied to heavily on third parties to sell it, a relaunch with a serious Switch 2 exclusive Zelda or Mario game is probably needed.
