Abdul El-Sayed has won his primary for Democratic senate race in Michigan last night. Let's hope that he can win his seat.

Listening to him, I like his message and wished that we get more like him. Also, it was said that they spent $60 million dollars to fund his opponents for the primary.

And of course katie britt and tommy tubervile have already called him a jihadist communist. Man, my state needs help.

Several people are sounding the alarm on Blanche's appointment saying he's going to be the point man on Trump's attempt to invalidate the midterm results he doesn't like.

I am just wondering why the guy would take the spot. Doesn't he know what happened when Nixon tried this?

Pretty sure that's the whole point of appointing him.

The Alabama Supreme court has agreed to expedite the appeal concerning the tubbervile residency case. I should point out that there is an august 19th deadline for parties to have their candidate. If tubervile is found to be a Florida resident as all the evidence shows, then the republicans will have no one running against Doug Jones this November for the Governor's seat.

No word yet on this, but Wednesday is the deadline for the Republicans to have their candidates. Here's hoping that they miss it and Doug Jones runs unopposed.

Still no update on this. There were some other fillings made by the actual GOP candidate that lives in Alabama who came in second to compel the lower courts to actually rule on tubervile's residency, but they were dismissed. Still no word on the actual case and the election is coming up fast.

With the courts all refusing to do anything that might lead to his disqualification, is it safe to assume nobody is going to stop him from being illegally put on the ballot either? And winning? And governing for at least four years?

I don't know what is going on with this. It was supposed to be expedited but they haven't said anything on the matter. :( Two weeks ago they had some fillings on it, but nothing has come out of it. Basically, tubervile is saying that there is an old law which says that only the political party has the right to enforce the election requirements of the state for their candidate, and since the republicans said he was good, then he should be on the ballot. However, the latest lawsuit isn't saying that he shouldn't win the primary and be the republican's choice, but that he simply isn't constitutionally eligible to be governor due to his Florida Man status.

And yes, I know I am misspelling his name and not capitalizing it. I think that a vile slab of tuber worms seems more of an appropriate name for him.

So the supreme court is still working on this but the person in charge has said that the voters deserve an answer before they vote on it. Hopefully we will hear back on this soon. I am hoping and praying that this florida man isn't allowed the opportunity to damage our state any further.

I don't know why they'd be dragging this out so long if it wasn't an excuse to just let him run and win, either because they support him or because he bribed them or something. Then again, it's not like they couldn't still rule that he's not allowed to hold office even after that, and I dunno let the job pass to his running mate I guess. But they absolutely could get away with saying "Welp, too late for it to matter now" and close the books on it.
