I've been skipping the SS Seekers so I'll be passing on him. He does look good though. I don't like Prowl that much more than the Siege version I have so I'll skip that one. I am a sucker for Insecticons though so I'll be snagging them. Is it just me, or are these the Dramatic Capture version of them?

Just after Prowl out of these. The Insecticons are surprisingly nice, if a little bland (but Kickback's add-ons look pretty cool in that gray), but the Dramatic Capture Set has me covered. (But then Gizmoboy got me looking at them more closely, and I'm in danger suddenly.)

I'm not doing the main Seekers in the new mold, and it's a bit of a relief that the headsculpts (I do like that they each have their own) just aren't doing it for me. I dont know what it is. And aspects of the rest of the body give some of the same not-feeling-it vibe. But knowing me, this will suddenly look good to me about a year and a half after it becomes impossible to find, if other recent products are any indication.

[A specifically movie-themed Starscream without the coronation kit (or a retool of it for this new mold) seems underwhelming (I guess they could have an alternate busted foot?). The Apology Tour releases of Op and Megs had their iconic movie scene looks.]

But an opaque windowed Prowl? I'll go to Botswana for that. The Siege head is still in storage and waiting for a new body (some modding may be needed).

Official images of the next batch of Target's exclusive MTMTE collection

Starscream, Prowl, and the Insecticons. Target's Geek-Out thing starts Friday, June 5, with drops going throughout the month.
Do we know what time they should go up tomorrow? I think Target normally drops their stuff around 9 or 10 EDT? And Pulse matches their timing. That's how I missed out on pre-ordering Hot Rod. I'd like to avoid that for Starscream.

I already have ER Prowl, and I prefer that version over the sky blue windows. And I really don't like Greyshell, so I'll be sticking with the previous Insecticons too.

I've been avoiding the new Seeker mold thus far, having previously gone all-in on the Earthrise mold... but, MAN, that is a nice looking Starscream.

They do seem to largely tread the same territory.

Some differences I'm seeing are no clear yellow on anyone; it's all a nicely colored opaque or painted plastic for these. Honestly that's my favorite part. I generally liked the clear yellow, but I was a bit surprised that DCS didn't go this route. This just commits to the look, contrasts more cleanly with the rest, and that pleasant egg yolk yellow is really tempting. Idk if it's worth going to the trouble of trying to sell these and start again over that, but... it's just so satisfying to look at.

Then there's Kickback coming with the extra weapon wing bits, and apparently there's no silver on anyone, just gray. DCS Shrapnel and Bombshell had light gray hip joints and silver thighs, kinda distractingly incongruous. This Shrapnel seems to match better (although the tones are still distinct the more I look) and Bombshell has black hip joints instead of gray. They may also have the warmer purple Hasbro tends to use, instead of the bluer violet, but hard to tell from pictures.
