Bare in mind Galvatron was desgined to scale with the Siege/Earth rise/Kingdom line figures, as 86 OP & Megs are much later molds and have a different scale size.

Oh, I'm well aware. I've been harping on that since we first saw a comparison pic of SS86 Optimus. It's the half-assing it by having some SS86 toys in the new SS86 scale while keeping others in the previous WfC/Legacy/AotP scale that really ticks me off.

gamestop sent me an email saying my order will be delayed and they now expect the figure to come in-stock

At least they email you. I put preorders in at GameStop for Solus Prime and Marvel Legends Ultimate Spider-Man. They said they'd call me and email me when they were in. Never heard from them. The date for a possible arrival comes in, I ask, still not in. Eventually I found them both at big box stores, and got 'em. Go into GameStop to cancel my pre-orders... and they're there. Nice to have gotten a call, schmucks.
And then they had the nerve to try and get me to put the money I'd put down on both on store credit.

For the record, it is confirmed that Studio Series Soundwave features TWO sets of boombox controls: one detailed for alt mode, one ”streamlined” for robot mode.

Not sure how I feel about that use of deco and engineering resources. The initial vibe is negative, though.

I don't really feel any worse about that than all of the many Optimus Prime who've had two set of truck grills. Or plenty of other toys that have fake kibble to match the animation models.

My favorite are the characters who have fake kibble that aren't even matching any character model. Like RotF Scattorshot or Energon Sledge.

I don’t really count that as fake kibble since they’re not even implied to be the same windows. They’re not even the same shape.

I guess whatever weirdass four-wheeled truck they scanned had big rear windows.

According to TFW2005 we are getting a Studio Series Skybound/Energon Universe Optimus Prime, with his Megatron arm. Supposedly retails for $79.99.

I still manage to get surprised at some of the stuff they release... I'm assuming it's a retool of the SS86 Optimus mold?

At least his fusion cannon looks better than SS86 Megatrons'.
