Oh, absolutely. Devastator isn't known for mixing and matching like the Scramble City guys. I just think it's fun, and like I said, it'd be nice if the arms were compatible with an older torso.
Which is a shame, Mecha Invasion Giant Legion Heavy Builder looks amazing with the arms and legs swapped!

Kinda wish Hasbro would steal that idea for an Autobot Build Team update.

I preordered them for my nephew, since they seemed like the best bet, especially after I saw the Devastation Optimus he got (small but surprisingly solid without clear parts and it works with all his other existing Optimus accessory stuff), but does anyone know if the Devastation Wheeljack and Side Swipe are new molds or recolors of old ones? Neither I or him have any other G1-ish modern version, so it doesn't matter, I just like to look up transformation so I'm prepared.

And while not Studio Series, I think, I do hope they do a good release of the Hearts of Steel BB and Megatron after the Comic Con release they've spoken of, those are the last two 'big' things I wanted to get preorders in before my next medical mess round, as he loves trains and old style cannons, it's like they prepared the two-pack special.

Excellent, I'll look them up. I don't think the head will matter much, it's more that the ones we DO have are older than he is (the Wheeljack is from the Reveal the Shield era) and sooner or later they're going to fall apart.
