The bonus battle with Scarlet is rough. She's lightning fast; she parries bullets after the first couple of shots, so shooting isn't worth much; she'll react to you trying to use a healing item by charging; and once she goes into her second phase, if you don't get enough perfect parries to break her shield in time, she'll one-shot you.

Managed it after a few tries, but oof, my fingers hurt.

Naturally, the reward is her outfit and hair, which includes her enormous hat. Wearing it replaces Tachy Mode with a single-stroke high-damage hit. The hat might be a little buggy, it seems to clip in and out of existence in dialogue scenes. And also looks kinda silly, considering how much Eve moves her head and nods while talking.

Haven't tried the other bonus fight with Mann yet. Maybe another day. Still got a few more stellar tears to hunt down.

(there's still a few locked doors in Matrix 11 that specifically get voiced lines saying we can't go there yet, either there's more planned or it's just cut content they never took out),

So, I wasn't expecting to bump this thread again, but remember those doors? There's finally a way to open them in the latest patch....

A developer's room with a puzzle for another costume. I don't think I'm interested enough to play through two-thirds of the game again to see it myself (still wish they'd add a chapter select), but it's cool that they actually went back and finished this.

Okay, bringing this thread back from the second page for a couple reasons.

1. Upcoming Switch 2 release.
Since I already have the platinum trophy for this and close to 100% of everything on the PS5, I'm finding it really hard to commit to double dipping on this...especially since this is during a time where there's a LOT of other games (Castlevania, Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy Revelations, the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV). Financially, it's really hard to just flippantly buy a game I already have.

BUT...I do want to see this succeed on Nintendo. I REALLY want to encourage Shift Up in them bringing this game to a new system. So maybe sometime next year, I can bite the bullet and get this.

In the meantime, I'm mostly just wanting to spread the word that...hey...if you don't have this yet and you have a mad hatred for Sony like I do, it may be a good time to think about getting it.

2. Stellar Blade Blood Rain
I guess this has been known about for a few months now and I've just been living under a rock. But I just saw the trailer for this yesterday. What can I say. They have my curiosity.

The Switch version also adds Bayonetta costumes. But those are also being patched into the PS5 version for free.

I dunno, I think I'd need more actual story content to dive in again. It's a good game, but short of upping the difficulty level just for the extra challenge (which I am simply too lazy to bother with), I pretty much did everything worth doing.

Will it actually play well on the Switch 2?

I've had this on my list of games I wouldn't mind having for a while now, but even with Sony being slop recently. If the Switch 2 version is just going to be the game in an inferior form... I'm still going to get it on the PS5.

The graphics are very slightly better on the PS5 and there are slight dips in framerate. But it still plays amazingly well and looks really good on Switch 2. There's a demo out for it free to download.

I am just so absolutely done with Sony though. If I didn't already own it on PS5, it would be a non-issue. I would absolutely buy it on Switch 2.

It’ll never happen, but I kinda wish they’d put it on Xbox too. As I am unlikely to afford a Switch 2 since I already have a Switch one and Xbox series X.

I don't know about X-Box for certain. But I'm pretty sure it's on PC. But the good news is, the only reason that it's coming to Nintendo at all is because Shift Up is no longer chained specifically to Sony. So even though I haven't heard word one way or the other, I wouldn't count X-Box out completely.
