You don't need to watch the Sonic birthday stream.
I mean, you can if you want.
Here it is. But from watching it live, it was running off of "adults presenting a younger kids show" energy. Part of this is that it was mainly a charity stream for St. Jude. There
were highlights but they were spread throughout the 5 hours:
-Pink Mozart did several symphony variants of Sonic songs.
-Tee Lopes did some DJing.
-Evan Stanley was quietly drawing during the stream a large cast picture. Don't know if it'll get inked and colored.
-A few fans showcased some impressive collections of Sonic memorabilia.
However, while it was known that there wouldn't be a ton of announcements, there were two of note. One, was a blink and you'll miss it reveal that Nintendo will be doing two collections of Sonic games. If I heard right that the Classic collection has Superstars and the Modern collection has Colors Ultimate, then that might mean that two games that had buggy launches will get recompiled with all patches. Possibly. The other announcement is presumably the website + ad campaign for the year. It's interesting because I don't know if it's a scavenger hunt, ARG, or what:
