Maybe he hasn't noticed? If he did, he'll kill Rattrap. Or just maim him a bit.
You kidding? Women make up the vast majority of Transformers convention cosplays. At least, from what I've seen at BotCons.I didn't figure there'd be so many female Transformers cosplayers, gosh.
Every fandom has a version of this. BTAS fans hated The Batman because it wasn't BTAS. BTAS and The Batman fans hated Brave and the Bold because of its lighter direction. Live action Batman movie discussion is just a viper pit of Keaton, Bale, and Pattinson stans screaming at each other while Clooney and Kilmer fans duck for cover.
I think that's only partially true.BTAS fans hated The Batman because it wasn't BTAS.
I think that's only partially true.
I mean, they turned the Joker from this...

It was a bit much in instances like this.
There's being on different pages, and then there's where it feels like you're reading different books.
Of course, speaking of books, that makes the Absolute thing all the more interesting to follow...
While I see your point, I feel like that's a little different.Which is like saying:
They turned Megatron from this:

To be fair, Hasbro didn't just turn him into that. It was 19 years between those versions of Megatron, and the first jump was the biggest. Starting with G2 Big Stick Megatron, we get the green tank with a turret instead of a fusion cannon. So we went from G1 Megatron to this:

Which conceptually, isn't that far off from Armada Megatron. Add antlers and Shoulder pads and you are practically there.
Then of course we went through some dramatic changes in Beast Wars/Machines, and then RID2000 before we got to Armada Megatron. Of course none of those characters were meant to be Megatron as previously mentioned. One being a Homage to him and the other being Gigatron (IIRC).
However, I do agree that we do have a very apt comparison using Bayverse Megatron.

A totally different style, alt mode, face, and voice. Everything is different to anything that came before, aside from the red eyes.
Thanks for proving my point, guys![]()
Yep! But I never said that wasn't the case. My whole point is that all fandoms have their segments that prefer one aspect over the others and can get critical if new stuff isn't like the stuff they like.I mean, there have been other versions since that weren't BTAS, but seemed to be well-received?
Comparatively speaking, Joker was more of a constant. Sure, there would be little changes, but he was almost always a gangster clown, rather than a... gangsta clown? Or whatever The Batman was going for.
From what I know of the design process: The Batman was more of an action cartoon, so all the characters got designed to be able to look like they could fight Batman. With Joker they also play into the fact when we first meet him, he's already incarerated in Arkham and play on his questionable sanity. As for the hair, if that's where your getting the "gangsta" bs from: Its actually meant to look like a tradtional 5-point jesters cap.

The Batman's Joker had a Black voice actor, but the character was white. We see a remnant of Joker's pre-Joker persona in one episode...To be brutally blunt, the main reason a lot of people thought that that version of the Joker had dreadlocks was simply because he was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who was the first Black actor to play the character.
The Batman didn't hit on all of its reinventions, but I did like their Joker, yeah. And personally, I thought Richardson gave a very entertaining performance. I loved the energy and exuberance he brought to the role. He sounded like he was having a blast playing the Joker. I honestly would not mind seeing him given the chance to return to the role at some point.
