Thankfully, in most people, cyclospora doesn't result in severe diarrhea. You might be given antibiotics to make recovery faster but in general, most people will recover without specific treatment and it's a matter of managing the symptoms and preventing dehydration.

Washing doesn't significantly reduce the chances of getting it from infected food (you should do that regardless) but cooking thoroughly does.

"Micro size has the power to surprise!" -the day Cyclospora got exposed to the Allspark energy.

We're lucky on the antibiotics, a lot of protista don't respond to them.

You know, Transformers could be well positioned to use this. They have a Botbots toilet paper mold, though I do wish the gold chrome version had come out, it could have been the unofficial prize for surviving this and the Covid TP shortage both.

My G1 Bruticus ended up in pretty rough shape. As best I can remember, he was the first combiner I collected through individual releases rather than giftsets (Devastator & Superion). I think he might still be around in a crate in the garage, but he's not getting any more use at this point. I do have the Encore release, though, so I'm happy with that.

My G1 Bruticus situation makes me feel old - but only because I am.

The original that I had as a little kid is long gone. In the early 90's, I came across a complete one at a local comic/toy shop. He was really cheap (less than $40, if memory serves), so I bought it. I now have more nostalgia for picking up that 2nd version than I ever did for the one I had as a kid.

We had 2 Devastators growing up, but that was the only one that we got complete as a kid. We had most of Defensor as we were missing just blades, a lone Silverbolt for the Aerial bots, two Dragstrips for Menasor, and a lone Onslaught for Bruticus.

I hope anyone who is fortunate enough to have a G1 Bruticus and modern Combaticons will do the animation-error crowd scene as toys, it would be perfect for it, just by pure coincidence of scale...irony considering the Combaticons are the equally perfect example of the LACK of scale in the franchise itself.

I was pretty lucky in that I was able to complete all the combiners I got any part of: Devastator, Superion, Bruticus, Abominus, and Monstructor. The first three are all, as mentioned with Bruticus, possibly entombed in a crate somewhere. I think it might even technically be possible to combine them. They'd look like something from the start of Five Faces of Darkness, though. I very foolishly traded away Abominus to a friend way back for stuff I can't even remember anymore.

That just leaves Monstructor. The bot with GPS is the only one I have left in good shape...

I never had more than 2 components of any combiner as a kid. My first experience with a complete one was the Big Lots KO's of Superion, Defensor, and Devestator.

I think that I got my first complete Scramble city combiner from RID2000's Ruination. Personally, I prefer that name over Bruticus. Shortly after though, I remember making a four-hour round trip drive with my buddy to a grocery store that had the Ester Baskets with the KO combiners in them for like $5 or $10.

I had Onslaught, Motormaster, Snaptrap, and Hun-Grr, but the only limbs I had were Rippersnapper, Blot, and Nautilator.

As a kid I had Onslaught, 2 Nosecones(one had a broken arm), and a Sinnertwin I traded away for a Micromaster at one point. I did miss out on a Superion at a garage sale, instead getting Tailgate, Soundwave, and a few tapes.

Once I started getting old stuff much later though, I did manage to get all the old combiners complete except for Pirahnacon and Monstructor.

When I was young my only G1 combiners were the Seacons, I think from the gift set along with Nautilator, thus why they're my favorite team. Then later got the Pretender Monsters minus Wildfly and Birdbrain so I could never combine them. Then G2 I got the Constructicons and RiD Ruination.

When I was a kid, I had:

- Superion (until someone stole Air Raid. Also, Silverbolt got broken and had to be replaced)
- Bruticus
- Computron
- Motormaster and Drag Strip
- Hot Spot and First-Aid
- Hun-Grr, Blot, and Cutthroat
- Part of an Overbite

I think that was everyone I had from the Combiner stuff.

Things kind of narrowed as our family grew and little luxuries now had to be spread out among multiple children, and by that point the combiner years of G1 were more or less done anyway, so I never really got any of them as a kid.

But then on one occasion an aunt visited, who insisted on taking me shopping and buying me something, and what was in stores was Action Masters. And I wanted to make the most of the opportunity. So when I saw Devastator (with Scorpulator), I thought, well, that's the best value for money, right, six Transformers in one (and a bonus Scorpulator)? Let's get that.

I am just as well-meaning now, but generally less of an idiot.

@lastmaximal, I can appreciate the logic that you used as a kid 😆 I actually ended up collecting the Terrorcons because of a similar, "grandma really wants to get you something" outing. I already had Sinnertwin and Blot at home, so I chose Hun-Gurr. I *think that I rounded out the team for my birthday that year, but that part is fuzzy.
