Maybe its the lighting, but The G1 guys are a lot more Blue-ish side of purple then I remember.
The lighting is definitely having an impact. They look more blue than purple to me in the pictures. In person, they are definitely substantially more blue than the CW or SS86 purples, but they still immediately read as purple.
For what it's worth, these G1 toys are the Encore release. I don't remember noticing any substantial differences between them and the originals, but I also really didn't notice how different the purples were between all these until you pointed it out. (I was more focused on the differences in the greens.)
I'm not really sure if I still have my original G1 Constructicons around anywhere for comparison. If I do, it's probably somewhere like a junk crate in the garage. The Constructicons were among my most-loved G1 Transformers. They were also on the fragile side, even for G1, so I'm afraid they got to the point of being basically unusable. I'm just not sure if I tossed them into a forgotten crate for sentimental value, or if I finally just threw them away.
For reference, Hook was my favorite, and the most damaged. Both his legs broke off at the knees. The end of his crane arm broke off. The peg that Bonecrusher attaches to broke off. Scrapper's canopy was missing and the internal mechanism linking his head to the scoop tabs was broken. Mixmaster's mixing drum had broken off. I have a feeling there might have been another couple breakages, but that's all I can remember at the moment. On top of that, every joint on every bot had loosened to the point of providing almost no resistance. It was technically still possible to form Devastator, but it was very difficult to get him to stand, and breathing in his general direction was enough to cause him to collapse.
