Despite the horror stories about the mold I decided to pick up Devastation Bee. He’s not bad at all. Achai’s SS86 Bee head fits on the balljoint perfectly. It’s a bit on the small side but I feel that’s a decent compromise to not get the head stuck in vehicle mode and to not scrape the paint off his face.
It’s also uncannily the exact shade of yellow.

It's a neat looking robot. Achai's head (still prefer that other one, but finally a non-dour Bumblebee) sits on a sorta long stalk, but it's neat how well that works with the look.
I'd be more tempted by this Classics-y take if they hadn't stylized the window shapes so much. They're way too fluid, a little more exaggerated than even Disney Label Donald Duck's windows (especially with the slope on the side ones). Even the in-game model is a little less curvy.
Hopefully if and when they get around to Glyph and Tap-Out, they use the SS86 Bee/Cliffjumper molds respectively. And avoid giving either of them Cliff's gray underoos.

Yeah I like this bee. Uncelshaded the windows and did the odd flat gray headlights while I was at it. Original colors imply that the headlamps are made of the same material as Bumblebee’s face
I still wonder what the hell happened with CW Powerglide’s lovely shade of “used coffee filter”

I don't half mind it. They had a warm grays thing going for a while there. PMOP, Blaster. Like pre-yellowed so you don't have to.

Bee Movie but every time a minibot is on screen a dinosaur shows up.
Having seen one in person now, I can verify the impression I had from pictures that I'm not very fond of the way they've done this face. Between the large Angry Eyes and the awkward Cartoon Five O Clock Shadow vibe of the gray faceplate, it's... Idk, not very Powerglide.
On the other hand, I was never too into the more 80s style take on Swerve (hopefully an MTMTE one finds its way into the comic based ones they're making), and the mold itself is kind of middling (especially with the weird chunks of things altmode). But the more I see of that stark, simple color scheme, the more I dig it overall.
