Having giant alien war machines slaughtering and exploding each other on the streets probably improved Chicago TBF
If nothing else, the traffic was considerably clearer.
Not according to Revenge of the Fallen. What was called "Mission City" by Lennox in the first movie was instead called "Los Angeles" by one of Leo's college buddies.
