Kup: "And then, Alpha Train stuck that feather in his hat, and called it 'Macaroni'..."
Swoop: "Me said get to GOOD part..."
Kup: "Ok, ok, Well, he'd forgotten he wasn't wearing a hat, and this being Cybertron, that feather was solid metal. Stuck it right in his own brain, which was why he spent the rest of his life writing weird fanfiction and randomly shouting Greek letters. The End."
Dinobots: "YAY!!!!"

-It would explain the entire Legends manga if you think about it...Does this mean the Covenant Of Primus Trion and the 'Lives In Ultra Magnus's chest' Trion are different people?

the 'Lives In Ultra Magnus's chest' Trion
Believe me, that got a rationalization that actually made a million times more sense than this EarthSpark retcon.

I'm not saying it makes any sense but it is nothing but consistent with Takara's policy to shoehorn everything into the cartoon continuity regardless of any logic. I'd bet they'd shove the Movieverse, Animated and the G2 commercials somewhere in there if they had sole ownership.

It's why I don't care that it doesn't make sense. None of it really does. Takara gonna Takara. It's official because they said so and their commitment to making everything G1 is funny.

ofc it's nonsensical that's just part of the charm. I await the Legends manga where they reconcile Transformers One with Five Faces of Darkness.

Give me enough caffeine and money and I'll make IDW fit into the Sunbow timeline. I'll be motivated by the goal of making James Roberts crash out on Twitter.

My personal media grail is the version of Animated they were promoting in pre-release interviews where it was somehow in continuity with the Bayverse. That'd be Youtube poop level mastery of rewriting, editing and dubbing.

Thus far, Sakamoto has treated Galaxy Force, Animated, Prime, and Cyberverse all as completely separate universes from G1. In fact, the second chapter of this New Legends manga was all about the Galaxy Force World's Planet Speedia (Velocitron's Japanese name) becoming a hub for multiversal travel with racing competitions held between visitors from different universes (even some subtle nods were given to such non-Japanese universes like IDW1, Hearts of Steel, and IDW's Shattered Glass). Racing teams in that story comprised of the following:
  • Exillion from the native Galaxy Force World and Drag Strip from the G1 World
  • Dead End, Breakdown, and Wildrider from the G1 World
  • Prowl and an exonerated Wasp from the Animated World
  • Medic Knock Out and War Breakdown from the Prime World
  • Shadow Striker and Lockdown from the Cyberverse World

Meanwhile, the "Worlds" classification system introduced by the Legends manga is also still in use in the New Legends "End of G1 Universe" manga, with the second chapter taking a cheeky dig at the universal streams system by noting how the Legends system is "nice and simple, even children understand it." lol
I wondered if maybe they were taking a veiled jab at the Stream classification when I read that.

Children in Japan are just built different.

Understanding that there's a world where Transformers characters that collect Transformers memorabilia can sometimes have a disease that turns them into Transformers and can dream or will Transformers into existence is not really something you see a lot in children of, say, Botswana.

I have very likely botched those references to Legends. Alas, I am neither a child nor Japanese.

I'd say the only inaccuracy you made in this post is believing that Legends was aimed at Japanese children instead of Japanese manchildren.🤓

Didn't really claim anything was aimed at anyone; was just going off of the remark from the manga.

But this is an actually even bigger achievement then. Even manchildren could understand the system!

Agreed. This looks good. This and the Delta Magnus set are definitely on my wish list.

So long as my wallet doesn’t implode.

I’m not volunteering mine. :)

Delta Magnus has an awesome deco. The only part of that set that confuses me is Secret Agent Arcee. Why a Headmaster in her prototype colours? I mean, it’s a neat novelty but… why? I kinda hope this isn’t the only Primal Vanguard set. Not sure who else they’d do though.

We're still waiting for Part 2 of the most recent manga chapter to hopefully give us that explanation.
