New TakaraTomy Legends Line

unluckiness

Somehow still sane

Seeing it on a larger screen, i’m not liking the face. It’s not enough “Ninja Turtle grimace” and a bit too “dentist’s appointment.”

Well, to be fair, it IS pretty hard to capture. Even Takara can only do so much. Probably for the betterment of humanity.

Please be Commander class and not Small Titan.
Hmm...might even be its own thing re: class/pricepoint. But yeah, hope it isn't a small Titan. It looks incredibly cool though!
Well, seeing how tall it is compared to Lio Convoy, take two of that Lio Convoy mold and stack one on top of the other to see how tall Galvatron will be.

Oh, I understand how tall he will be; I just don't know how that will translate pricewise. I suppose we'll see.

That Takara needed to create their own line in order to release this figure suggests that he doesn't fit into any of Hasbro's standard retail pricepoints, so he might end up being priced somewhere between Commander and Titan.

He seems to be too big to be a Commander, yet smaller than any Titan so far. It seems that Titan class doesn't have to be one set size or price anymore, so in theory he could just be a smaller Titan. But the Titan slot is already taken for a few years, so it's a moot point.

Ideally, I would have liked to see him be the same size as Magmatron. He didn't have just one fixed size in BWII, and it wasn't really him in Neo, so I don't put much stock in his size there. But this is fine.

I'd be interested in getting a Gigatron in this line. He should also be at least a Commander, but those slots are limited and he could go a bit bigger too.

I missed HasLab Unicron for size and cost reasons, and I still have my old Armada Unicron that does the job. If this comes out and isn't insane, and does have the horns as accessories, I may get him for double-duty on my shelf.

And he better be proper bright pastel pink rather than lilac purple.

The one thing the old Galvatron lacked that I would have loved to see, and I know this new one won't have it because the old one didn't, would have been a way to mount the drill on the arm as a giant cannon-like arrangement. I saw the drill tank as a homage to the old artillery, but it couldn't pull it off in robot mode.

Oh goody, so glad we're getting more movie Dinobots instead of this.

Even if we weren't, this Galvatron likely wouldn't be enough to reach the Titan class pricepoint anyway.

And besides that, Titans typically aren't sold at brick-and-mortar retail anyway, so it would have to be ordered from online retailers, regardless.

The old one could hold the drill in his hand, but taking it off in the first place never felt good. And now I'd be afraid to try, lest the drill halves shatter.
