The Ravenous trailer was soooo hyped that I switched out Sonic Frontiers to continue playing Dread.
I haven't slept yet and its been over 4 hours and its been awesome! Ive beaten 4 EMMI so far and they’re terribly frightening to encounter.
I've go a bunch of traversal stuff but, because of Silksong, I keep trying to double jump, haha.
Ravenous will be out in regular Switch 1, right?

I haven't seen any indication that Ravenous will be available for Switch 1. As far as I can tell, it's Switch 2 only. Which saddens me, since a Switch 2 is still pretty far off for me.
Dread was the first experience either of my kids had with a Metroid game. Neither of them played it, but they watched me playing it. And they were absolutely terrified of the EMMIs! I'm pretty sure that even if they were to try to play it, they'd nope out at the first EMMI.

Yeah, the EMMI's are the best / worst part of the game, haha! Holding steady and firing at their face while they approach you... going phantom and hoping they don't accidentally touch you... running and dodging for dear life when they spot you... so much dread! Haha
I fired up Dread this morning. I can't wait. I will be getting this. In fact, I already have it paid off at Game Stop. I wish I could say I was going to get the amiibo, but those things have gotten expensive and I just don't think I can keep up with all the ones I want to get...so I get none.

I'm already at the Chozo bosses (mini bosses?). Have to say, the talking time is longer than the subtitles, haha.

OmChozo, I'm stuck at the boss at the fire area, where we need to unfreeze the waters.
I got to the cutscene where I'm riding on his head. I tried the Charge Beam and the Missiles but we keep resetting to the fight.
I have to try the Storm Missile next else, I'm stuck. I cycled through the cutscene three times in one go and he's still not going down.
I'll figure it out. Better not be Shinesparking when he does that 'jump over the obstacles' part.
Edit... I beat him? I only went through the cutscene once or twice. Then suddenly he died? I dont get what I did. I have to look it up.

No worries! Turns out I just had to blast all four legs during one part, hehe.

I'm torn about this game. I want to be more excited, but I just can't bring myself to feel hyped.
On one hand it IS a new Metroid, and I love metroid.
But on the other hand it's a sequel to Dread, and I consider Dread to be the worst Metroid game I've ever played.
That being said, it's not a terrible game, but the Emmi nonsense literally prevents me from playing the game again. I found them so tedious and annoying that I just can't muster up the energy to want to deal with them ever again, and if we get something like that in the new game... bleh.
