No one but strongmen want to be seen working with Trump, even in the rare instance where his goals align with theirs. That's how toxic he is.

Trump has shown, repeatedly, that he can't be trusted as an ally and will throw anyone and everyone under the bus without a second thought if he thinks it'll be in his own personal best interest. Or if they do anything to annoy or insult him. Or if he's just feeling extra pissy that day. Of course nobody with half a brain wants to work with him.

Trump is so bad at the job, he couldn't even get the world's rich asshole oligarchs and military-industrial complex to protect their own revenue streams. Any previous president would have been able to do it.
I dunno about any. "What are we going to do next, attack Iran?" was a common joke during the Bush administration*, and the consensus seemed to be that it would be a phenomenally stupid idea and that the rest of the world would just laugh at us and not help.

*There was some specific politician who was gung-ho about the idea at the time, I forget his name, but I remember a pundit nicknaming him "Bomb-Bomb-Bomb, Bomb-Bomb-Iran".

Ironbite-COULDN'T EVEN LAST A DAY COULD YOU ISRAEL!?
Israel has really reached the “FAFO” stage, haven’t they? The US is their ONLY major ally left, and they are still trying to screw things up. So, now, it’s a question of whether all the “Jewish money” in Washington is enough to offset Israel’s bullshittery, or will THAT administration finally get the “grown up talk” they’ve been needing for decades?

It will be interesting to see how things shake out if Israel’s continued military actions remain disruptive enough to shake some of the support they still maintain in the US government.
