I know nothing about any of these actors, but I can see them in the roles. Very curious about how they're going to do Gannon. And the plot. Gannon going to be alone or bring Agahnim or Twinrova with him?

All kidding aside, I am so, so, SO relieved that they went with lesser knowns instead of big-name celebrities. And from what these two have been in, they both seem very talented and capable of delivering dramatic performances.

We just need the writing and directing to be good.

And Link needs either hair dye or a wig.

Oh, I don't know. If you go by the original NES artwork and sprites, the hair color looks totally fine.

But yes, so long as they have the talent, I'm all for bringing in unknowns.

Not like Nintendo has ever really had a cohesive art style between the various Zelda games anyway, direct sequels being the exception. Throw some pointy ears on them and put them in appropriate costumes and done. Now if they were specifically doing a Twilight Princess movie or something, yea, they don't quite fit.

I don't know. Do you just go full CGI Pig-man for the first movie? Maybe just hinting at his original human form that you save for a sequel? Or maybe just go the Breath of the Wild route and just have him be more of a force of nature who doesn't actually show up until the end?

Nintendo of America, specifically. The Japanese advertisements for the game instead just call it "the untold story" since "canon" as it's used in the West is a very western concept that isn't as strongly held in regard in Japan.

I just found something fascinating last night. These two videos by The Hyrule Journals that go deep into the behind-the-scenes development of Majora's Mask.

The first is a full-length documentary about the Japanese-to-English localization of the game by Nintendo employee Jason Leung:

The second is a follow-up video to the documentary about Jason Leung's notebook containing little-known information about the game that he made notes about back during his visit to Nintendo of Japan:

I highly recommend any and all Majora's Mask fans give these a watch.

So I made a bit of an accomplishment today. I had already beaten Link to the Past on the SNES and SNES mini. So when it came to the Nintendo Online one, I just went up to Mothula and stopped. I always found her boss fight to be the most irritating one in LttP, and I'd already beaten the game twice before. So I didn't see much need to do it again. Well, earlier this week I pushed through Mothula and tonight I beat the game.

But that wasn't the accomplishment.

On the SNES, I was one heart piece away from a perfect game collection. On the SNES mini, I was four heart pieces short.

Tonight on the Nintendo Online version of Link to the Past, I have all of the heart pieces. After three playthroughs, I finally have a save with 100% completion.

So, okay, yeah, it's just one heart added to my health compared to my other saves. But still...100% completion!
