What do you mean? I don't think he was $100 when he came out. And the reissue's been known about for a minute, so these might be older posts with less bold gouging.

He means he's been at LEAST $100 for longer than that and figured the prices would have only gone higher in the last 6 months. :)

That makes sense. Seeing the likes of Greenlight spike so much higher does raise that question. This is why I ventured the guess of maybe these are just people hedging their bets and avoiding gouging TOO too much with rumblings of a reissue coming. Then again, I only see very recent confirmations and "preorders are open" posts for that, with posts going back to April just being rumors, so IDK.

I held off on picking up Runamuck until I heard the rumors that Runabout was going to get a reissue about a month ago.

I picked up several Runamucks when a nearby Walmart clearanced them down to $5. Unfortunately, about 2/3 had a pin assembly error in one of the legs and wouldn't transform properly. Still managed to get two good ones, and was planning to paint one black. Now I won't have to.

It was a joke about Hasbro's exorbitant pricing.

The sad thing is, if I'd said they were charging a thousand dollars for him, it probably would have been recognized as a joke. Instead, we live in a world where a hundred is close enough to reality that it gets lost...

It would probably be easier to retool Earthrise Optimus for that very specific homage.
The problem is that you have to put a wheel on the shoulders or armpits, as the MW flat nose has a wheel underneath the cab.

Details have leaked from good ol’ JtPrime17 concerning the Age of Evolution: Megatron Rising capsule line
Dlx Rook – Botcon Deco, New head from 86 Windcharger
Dlx Viper – Powerglide with new head (as expected)
Voy Sky Fire – Voy Reactivate Starscream retool. red, white and black color scheme. Reminds me of robot masters R-Blade tbh
Voy Scoop – 86 scrapper, New head and Chest. Can still combine with Devastator
Voy Slash – looks like a new mold to me
LDR Snarl – Action master Deco on 86 mold”

Some questions answered, even more created. Rook, Viper, Scoop, and Snarl, I feel, were pretty well called out. If Slash is a new mold, it might lend credence to the possibility of her being a “pretool” for a TM2 Dinobot. Snarl…I’ll have to wait and see. I don’t NEED another Snarl, but I’m a sucker for late G1 stuff, and I think it might actually complement the Comic Grimlock deco in its “off ness”.

Sky Fire might be the nerdiest call out of the year. Assuming he’s an Autobot, and has a new head, you have the G2 Jetfire callback in the head, the G1 Jetfire toy callback in colors, the G1 cartoon alternate name for Jetfire (which was also used for the Japanese version of Energon Jetfire), seemingly inspired by a Robotmasters release AND potentially being a big middle finger to Harmony Gold?
Can’t wait to see what it looks like.

Would rather have gotten a green G2 Snarl, but I suppose that ship has sailed. The Action Master deco is the very definition of a lateral move, especially since they just reissued Snarl. Slash as a Voyager I might be into; a Deluxe would've been fine, but her big bros ARE huge.

If that's what Sky Fire ends up being, I may have to think about it. A bigger R-Blade might be nice, but a Voyager I'll need to mull over allocating the space for (especially as I HAVE an R-Blade). Cool that this will exist for those that would be into it. It's a nice design and this IS a good jetformer mold.

Rook and Viper I'm into, probably more the latter than the former. Scoop I'm happy to stay T30 with, unless this new one comes with his Targetmaster partners?

I never realized until just now that Action Master Snarl's colors differed from regular Snarl's at all.

I suppose a Landfill from Long Haul and Quickmix from Mixmaster are possibilities, but why use the characters if they aren't committed to doing the Targetmasters as well?

I would rather they use Energon/Cybertron Landmine for a Scrapper redeco if they aren't doing the Targetmasters.

Yeah, very subtle -- most strikingly in the head, but also some on the chest (red center, yellow panels) and darker gray forearms. I wouldn't mind getting, say, the POTP Deluxe in those colors, but a whole nother Leader is a literal big ask. Still, always nice to see that era touched upon.

I am kind of intrigued by the possibilities for an Autobot construction combiner (I think this was in the redeco concept thread), Targetmaster buddies or no. (I DO still want those, and they DO have new molds to use -- maybe we can get them in a big pack). I MIGHT commit if they use the Construction Squad! Groundpounder is a bit displaced by Scoop here, and Takedown would be competing with Quickmix, but Crumble and Neutro still have room. Inaccurate altmode/robot mode etc matches all around, but they don't get much love in general.

Rook: Toy/Retro head I’d assume
Viper: Always a Great scheme
Sky Fire: Always love those colors and I never picked up Reactivate Starscream
Scoop: Very interested to see if they wind up doing a Combination Build King Double Targetmaster Combiner since the three left over after Quickmix and Landfill are three of the same vehicles as the Build Team (leaving aside Heavy Load)
Slash: Don’t know enough
Snarl: I’ll have to see it first

Scoop made from Scrapper and still able to combine with Devastator is a IDW reference I never thought I'd see in toy form (or anywhere really).

I want Slash, but I just realized I never got the Studio Series Dinobots, so she'd be the largest of my G1 Dinbots and that'll be weird.

It's interesting how much a potential Build Team / double targetmaster combiner would overlap with Devastator's Diaclone predecessor as well. Scoop, Quickmix, Wedge, and Hightower all basically match Diaclone. If Hook and Long Haul are gang molded, and with Grimlock being green like Scavenger, I wonder if they might lean into the Diaclone deco.

Back when CW Devastator was still the hot new Devastator, the He Tell Me gang reported that it had Build Team + Double Targetmasters alternate heads, so the idea has at least occurred to someone who was at Hasbro or Takara at some point and memory might have persisted.

Granted, ISTR they also reported that this potential retool had solved the double dump truck problem and the two guys with the same name problem by giving the combiner a G1 Landfill head, which might be the most "pleases nobody" approach possible.
