Your superhero parallel works, though. I saw an article at one point where Hasbro wanted to re-work the Joe team and basically use specific superheroes as the template for each character. ( . . . and this looks like a whole "he tell me" thing, but I can't find the article now.)
Something I was told WAY back in the day from the purported "insiders" of the newsculpt era (which has largely borne out over the years) was that the Joe team was largely taking a "Superheroes without super powers" angle with GI Joe. That's why, if you look at the 2002-2006 figures, the design aesthetic was more eclectic and not just variations of military/tactical uniforms the Modern Era figures devolved into by the end of that run, especially when you consider the "core characters" of the era.
I'm sure I've repeated that stuff enough over the years that it has become reinterpretted as coming from Hasbro simply because it gets repeated so much.

I think they hinted in the last livestream the Canopy could be removed for a more classic look.
That would be good. As is, it kind of reminds me of the canopy a person would put on a lawn tractor when they use it for plowing snow.

...is that a webcam on top?!
Looks like a multi visual array sensor, like what’s used on drones. Which makes a degree of sense given the missile armament and the limited field of vision from the cockpit. This iteration of the Triple T feels like a more “pragmatic” mini-scout and having a AV sensor array makes a decently amount of sense.

We’ll see how the price is, but I’m digging how they “Classified-upped” the old Triple T. The inclusion of a canopy gives a touch more logic, as does the mounted Gatling gun. I also appreciate how Hasbro seems to be going out of their way to ensure each release of Sgt Slaughter (weird to think we’ve seen more Sgt. Slaughter releases in the past couple years, than the prior 25) offers enough differentiation that it doesn’t “degrade” prior relases.

...I missed that that was a Gatling gun.

Or guns? As I recall, the other side had a matching gun on the original.

Dang, I need this. But I also need the Kup one, and never got that, either.

The Kup Triple-T is quite good, easily the best of the 3 JoexTF crossovers I have (missed Soundwave). My only real complaint is, I feel like he needs a Joe-scale Recoil figure to fill out the set (and the Third-Party industry has failed me in that!).
If you get a chance at one, I would definitely get it!

It looks like my closest store isnt carrying the two pack. Stoped at one other that says they have it in stock today but it wasn't out.

-ZacWilliam, no sign of the Super 7 Ninja Force either. My brothers birthday is next weekend kinda hoping to snag him one or the other.

Unusually verbose movie Snake-Eyes, I guess: "Wait, I don't have the apple ready yet."

Storm Shadow: "Oh, uh, sure. Yes, that will affect where I'm aiming... sure."

T'Jbang: "I shouldn't watch, yet I cannot look away..."

I’ve read/heard that Target is doing a reset this week, probably on Tuesday. But like with any major retailer, there are store employees just chucking crap to the shelves before they’re supposed to.

I might pencil in a trip to Target to try and get the Ninja Force ReAction figures on Tuesday…

I’ll stand by the assertion that the Snake Eyes film wasn’t entirely unsalvagable, at least on a conceptual level:
The story “bones” were fine. I actually didn’t mind having a talking Snake Eyes, and increasingly, he’s only mute because “that’s how it must be”. I think there’s merit in having him lose his voice later as a nod to others that have seen a vital social skill taken later in life. I’ll stand by Andrew Koji as being the one who finally helped me “get” Storm Shadow as a character

It’s just sad that the film had a crap script, a crap leading man, and a director that didn’t seem up to the task of doing something interesting, action-wise, with the pieces the scenario gave him.

The reset was supposed to be for 19 July. I went looking for the two pack, and found it at the third Target I tried. From my own personal experiences, it seems like some hit the ground running on that, but it was haphazard.

The first Target I tried still had what they've had out for months. Second, more of the same, but they did have the SS '86 Insecticons three pack. Third has that three pack and the GI Joe Classified Ninja Force two pack. No one had SS '86 Starscream out though.

All of this is to say that just because the reset/street date is a particular date, that doesn't mean a store will have that stuff out then. That's just the earliest a store can transition to that product. The actual changeover depends on when individual store management feels it's time to pull that trigger.
