Remake/Rebirth have been amazing so I'm confident.
Plus, they introduced multiverses so there's a bunch of wiggle room. Fully expecting a way to get Aerith and maybe Zack into the party.
Boy their really stretching believability with that one.
I haven't cancelled my sub yet, but I don't plan to renew. The rest of my group got turned off by the endgame boss grind, and I'm not exactly keen on it either. The "easy" storyline modes of DT and post-DT bosses are practically at where lower level Savage content sits. Too much pandering to the Git Gud players.

My biggest problem is that the bosses in the Arcadion raids are overloaded with gigantic flashing lights and particle effects that not only screw with my glare sensitivity, it also makes it hard to see what's actually happening, even with other players' effects turned off. It's kinda killed my motivation to run those fights for gear when it gives me a headache every time.
Also not particularly enamored with the Vana'diel alliance raids, mostly because they're unabashed FF11 fanwank and I've never played 11.

Time for another Monster Hunter trial. Wonder if this one will be permanent like the Rathalos fight.
Meanwhile, MH: Wilds seems to be getting a fight with Omega.
Now I want to see "Your Idol" (from the end of the movie), but with the Ascians.

I just realized something I can't believe I didn't notice before. Emet Selch is a supremely all-powerful being who put our protagonists on trial to judge whether or not they're worthy of survival. He walks among them with a snooty air of superiority and disdain while trying to hide the fact that we've secretly become his favorite.

I saw that, apparently slated for August, so they have time to iron out any problems before Evercold.
