Sonia appeared in that Vampire Survivors collaboration thing from a few years back, so... Does not being in the official timeline stop her from being a character in the franchise? Nathan Graves was also in that, and his game was tossed out, too.

Also, I don't know know if the official timeline has been changed recently. It's entirely possible that everyone that knew or cared about the old official timeline has left the company since Konami last made a Castlevania game. The current guys might be okay with all the classic continuity games being in the timeline.

It looks good. A bit parkourish for my taste. It also looks like the screen is zoomed out enough to make the player character pretty tiny. But given how long it's been since we've had a new Castlevania game...let alone a 2D one...if it's the least bit good, I'll probably get it.

It’s from the guys who did Dead Cells and Rogue Prince of Persia, if you need a point of reference. The big thing to me is the ballsy release date, a week before the next Call of Duty. September and October are looking quite full with everyone trying to claw out a release window that avoids GTA6

A VA trailer has been released for Belmont's Curse. Along with a number of industry regulars (Abby Trott as Rose, Liam O'Brien, JB Blanc, Ray Chase), the trailer confirms the return of Alejandra Reynoso from the anime series as Sypha. And...Graham McTavish as Dracula?!

Okay, tell me if this is petty. I wanted the digital version so I could get the Midnight Edition stuff. Sure, maybe you can get the Midnight Edition stuff as add on, but I wanted to be absolutely certain. So I preordered Belmont's Curse on Switch digitally,

But I still wanted a physical version. I've just been really into physical media even more than before thanks to Sony. So...very much as a middle finger to Sony, I pre-ordered the physical version for PS5.

That's my dilemma. I want a physical copy, but I want the digital-exclusive content too. I really hate it when they make stuff exclusive to one format. I do buy both physical and digital copies of some stuff, but I don't at all appreciate being pushed into it.

Right now, I have the physical PS5 version pre-ordered.

Woah! I just got 100% of the souls in Aria of Sorrow. I got the chaos ring. With Demon Lord, Succubus and Death equipped and being level 91, I kicked the final boss's butt somethin' fierce!

For Belmont's Curse, I really wanted the digital extras. I live for things like art and soundtracks.

In any case, I went from mildly curious to anxiously waiting. October 15 seems so far away!

Because I love doing Show & Tells...

So as you can see, even without the Advance and Dominus Collections, I still have the games. But I still prefer playing them on the bigger screen.

Since a bunch of my games are ones I've bought used, I thought I'd show which ones I actually have the manuals to (in this case because the games were bought new). The Harmony of Dissonance instruction manual has Aria of Sorrow on the flip side. It's the manual that came with the Advance Double Pack.

Simon Belmont Amibo. I never did get the Richter amiibo. I had the opportunity, but honestly, Richter just didn't have the same nostalgia for me as Simon.

Of course, there's the entire Trevor run of the Netflix show. I binged them when I first got them, but haven't really watched it since. I'll have to watch them again some time.

Belmont Legacy comic is the only comic I've been able to find (that's remotely affordable anyway). I thought I had the Dawn of Sorrow Strategy guide, but I guess not. I do have the Portrait of Ruin guide though...for the pictures. And on the far right is an unauthorized retrospective. It has a lot of nice art and info...though many times the info tends to drift into opinion, so I tend to mostly just look at the pretty pictures.

I can barely see the face of the white-haired guy, but I'm thinking it's "The Fallen," the first boss you come across that gives you the cross-boomerang. I don't know who the woman on the right is.

I'm thinking this might be Medusa...maybe?

Not sure about the one on the left. It just looks like a knight. The one on the left could be Dracula...but typically Dracula has the full beard and dark hair. I'll tell you who he really reminds me of, though...Brauner from Portrait of Ruin. He's got the purple high color, the monocle. I only ever remember Brauner from Portrait of Ruin. But tell me I'm wrong!
