This could be Sonia Belmont, named in honor of her paternal grandmother. If we can handle having 73 different Links and Zeldas, we can handle having one instance of a familial namesake.

Sonia appeared in that Vampire Survivors collaboration thing from a few years back, so... Does not being in the official timeline stop her from being a character in the franchise? Nathan Graves was also in that, and his game was tossed out, too.

Also, I don't know know if the official timeline has been changed recently. It's entirely possible that everyone that knew or cared about the old official timeline has left the company since Konami last made a Castlevania game. The current guys might be okay with all the classic continuity games being in the timeline.

It looks good. A bit parkourish for my taste. It also looks like the screen is zoomed out enough to make the player character pretty tiny. But given how long it's been since we've had a new Castlevania game...let alone a 2D one...if it's the least bit good, I'll probably get it.

It’s from the guys who did Dead Cells and Rogue Prince of Persia, if you need a point of reference. The big thing to me is the ballsy release date, a week before the next Call of Duty. September and October are looking quite full with everyone trying to claw out a release window that avoids GTA6
