Ooooh, I like. But how much would something like that be?

Yeah, the exclusive colorway is tempting. But getting stuck with 23 things I'd then need to get rid of is going to be a ridiculous chore, even if the pricing is basically 2 regular full cases and a bit for the Bruticus bits (i.e. no exclusivity tax). It's a nice instant collection, I guess. There's definitely a target market for that.

It's nice that at least there are two regular chases (so it really is like buying two cases). And the Bruticus combining bits is quite a nice inclusion since all five are there anyway. But that's still an overwhelming majority of repeats if you've been following the line to this point. At least do it like the 2026 Yearly set and have multiples be unique to this set. Grimlock and Rodimus in the same holiday colors, idk.

I feel like the ideal audience for the advent calendar is people who are into Galaxy Version or other TF model kits and haven't tried out Defender specifically. If they get into it, great. If not, the release format will help it not feel so weird to have a bunch of much smaller guys in the collection.

Has there been a similar set that had a complete Devastator? To someone who hasn't tried Blokees yet and wouldn't end up with any extras, a set like this is compelling.

That's definitely the target market for it all right. Basically getting a good cross section of three waves, a full combiner set (vehicles and combining parts), two chases, and an exclusive -- it's a nice convenient pickup.

If this is priced nicely enough, I may undertake all the work.

As someone that's only barely dipped my toes into Blokees, I have to admit being tempted by this. I've picked up a few blindpacks from the different lines on a whim here an there, so a big pack of figures where I know for a fact that I'd be getting things I wanted is pretty appealing.

I don't have any Blockees of any kind...on the other hand if this isn't insanely pricey it would be a great intro and I wouldn't have to worry about having only parts of the combiner and be missing one blind boxed bit (which is WHY I have no Blockees, to be honest, I hate blind boxes and can't afford the whole case some recommend).

The bad news is this is essentially two whole cases plus a combiner parts add-on, and I'd be surprised if it isn't priced accordingly.

Yup. This clearly isn't for me, but I'm waiting to see if there might be a good deal that would net me that Prime... and that Grimlock, which I just realized is the super chase/special armor type, not the regular chase/special galaxy type. I hope they at least come with the original cards they were packed in with.

Even if it is a case-price, it's a case where I can know I have all the parts at once, and when your collection is also shared with a little boy next door, that's something important. I'm seriously considering getting this, parking it on the kitchen table, and ignoring the 'calendar' aspect entirely, just opening a new door when my nephew visits. We can build a bot he can take home, or if it's one of the combiner bits, we can set it to the side to wait till we get the rest.

It's more a side effect of location, he lives next door to me, and so a surprising number of my Transformers have been 'borrowed' with highly irregular return, but at the same time, they're being toys being played with, and I think that's a good thing. Years ago when he was born I had people say "Oh, no, you'll have to be so careful to keep the collectibles away from the kid!" I do have shelf labels that say 'Display only' for Haslabs and such, he gets that, but I figured for the most part, it's a toy robot collection and he's a little boy. Anyone who does not expect those two concepts to collide violently at an intersection is delusional. It's SUPPOSED to do that...

Yeah, I get that. When my oldest nephew was around 2, I gave him all of my Mario toys to take home and have. I had a ton of those that I had got from TRU. He played with those toys for years and years. Its the only toys I ever got him to play with as he and his little brother don't care for Transformers. Just Mario, Lego, and Video Games.

My nephew is Thomas trains and Transformers. Some sort of weird AI revolution going on, I guess.
Weird Al is involved with Thomas, too?

This is generally the way with complete/sealed cases with Blokees anyway; there's 1 of everyone except for two (which may be their regular or either chase version).

This, though, is a mix of parts of 3 waves, and some are left out (there's 12 in a case and there's 23 reuses here), so not exactly "all the parts at once" for any of the three? I need to review the lineup. (Edit: looks like 7 from wave 6, 8 from wave 5, 7 from wave 4 with two of them chases, and vehicle Op truck from wave 1.) But if you meant Bruticus in particular, then yup, that is complete, along with the combiner bits.

Still, it's some of the bigger names from those waves, including the "mains" from each (the ones with chases) -- Jetfire, Galvatron, both BW leaders, and two that ARE the chases. There's multiple Optimus Primes (the exclusive, the clear robot mode Op, and a complete truck-and-trailer), a Megatron, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, Rodimus, Grimlock... Pretty good pulls from their waves. An instant collection for that sort of play dynamic is what this will be perfect for.

That's sort of what I was thinking. For a pair of Bockees-less houses where the toys actually get played with, this could make for an excellent sampler pack.
