And people thought the explanation of midiclorians was terrible :p

I don’t know, call me a traditionalist, but I think the idea of Gotham’s social corruption being caused by a hidden demon and bad juju is a little “extra”. If you get my meaning.

Yeah it's just too much. Gotham's inherent corruption works best when it's of the purely human variety. We don't need any help to be terrible.

Saw ep6 Sudden Fear.

I liked a lot again, cuz Harley Quinn was a good guy! Plus, she didn't become good because of 'love'. She helped Batman cuz she was bored, hahahaha! Loved that, hehe.
The case was typical still. Just odd about the new look. He could be named the Plague Doctor. Also, why show the blonde jock guy? He didn't really figure into anything.

Also, c'mooooon, they didn't have to kill the lady! She was on the verge of being saved, darn it!

Saw ep 7 Her Dark Reflection

Omg, it's Talia! Kidding, hehe

Very cool to see Rose and Thorn. I only know her from Superman comics. Did she appear in Batman stuff too?

It's a very good adaptation of her but the problem for me is why bother leading Riddler on for so long? I feel like even people who don't know that Thorn is good guy in the comics would easily guess that she was faking the Riddler. If they had just made it more convincing that she really needed to get close first, it would have been more acceptable.

Anyhow, loved that this Riddler is gone. I hate not him being smart. Good riddleance, haha

Oh and nice whip reference use, haha.

Saw s2 ep8 Zero Hour.

Holy cow, I was all set to hate on this ep but it turned me around.

I totally forgot about the character who died in the supernatural ep in season 1 but I didn't expect the development! Crime is a dead end. Very dead! Hehe

Mister Zero is the original name of Mister Freeze, I recall? Very Dexter, serial killer like. Why the voice box tho? Not that I matters.

Like the ep a lot. Hope there's third season so we can see a third appearance, hehe

She s2 ep9 and 10 Dead before Dawn and Laughing Dead

Oh, screw you for killing my favorite interpretation of the season! She had a story arc! She was going to be better! Exposed her too, ugh.

That throwaway henchmen that Batman recognized looks like one of the twins that Two-Face in BTAS.

Flass is garbage.

Wait, what happened to Thorne's son? Dead too?

Part 2, I don't think the Joker toxin infected people should have turned big and buff. Staying normal sized but becoming manic and psychotic, but with no feeling of pain and getting twisted would be scarier.

Case in point, Merkel when he turned into Ragdoll. The citizens turning into him would be crazy.

This Joker looks like Joker without the smile but doesn't feel like Joker. Too calculated and also sounds like a cult person, which with brother and mentor talk. In the end, his plan didn't get explained so whatever.

He could have been Ra's Al Ghul, the Demon. Clarence too, with the melodrama and the chemistry and surviving the end. Or Creeper or Black Mask or Poison Ivy.

Oh, the infected became huge because of the Blockbuster formula, ok.

Well, that's over. Pretty good season, I'd say.

Caped Crusader’s take on The Joker seemed heavily influenced by the OG Golden Age Joker, who wasn’t very…jovial…and was more a classical criminal mastermind. That said, I also wished they had retained some form of the rictus grin in his design. The cold, calculated personality combined with the ever-present grin I think would have made a bigger impact.

I finally saw Mask of the Phantasm in theatres! It was fun, though it seemed to have a similar technical issues to Transformers The Movie where it felt like the media files weren’t properly calibrated for modern theatrical exhibition. Same (or similar) issues of sound imbalances, low voices (relative to music or effects), and even a jittery frame.
I know neither film was produced for modern 5.1 surround, but it really does feel like improper format mixing. And considering how widespread issues were with TFTM, I’m almost suspecting it’s an issue with how many modern theatres are showing features these days.

Also, and I guess this was because it came from WB, I wasn’t a fan of the full AMC 20 minute preamble before the film. Maybe I was spoiled by Coyote vs Acme or Transformers coming from smaller distributors, but it was frustrating to sit through a ton of kids movie ads like this wasn’t a one day release of a 30 year old animated film few kids were apt to see (especially with Lego Batman also being distributed).

I felt like Caped Joker could have been Anarky too. But Beware the Batman did that already.

I never meant to hurt you,
You said you knew,
I never even said a word,
What I feeeeeel about you...

I wasn't wild about Mask of the Phantasm but I really dig the ending song.

I finally finished the second season this weekend and I really enjoyed it! I agree that Joker was more Ra's Al Ghul than Joker, but I did like how he seemed to be trying to turn Batman into a killer.

I did like how Riddler was finally killed by his inability to control his temper. Took Thorn way too long to do it though. Loved that Alfred got some more Character development with this episode and the finale. I felt that he was underused/underdeveloped in this series.

WHAT?!?! I am curious to what you didn't like about it as most people consider this to be the best Batman movie ever made.
Well, when I watched it as a kid, I came in after the first Phantasm car murder. Maybe I didn't get the full effect.

I recall not caring for the origin retelling again and thinking the world of the future final battle being mundane.

I was fascinated at the fog teleporter that Phantasm has. The giant fan removing its agency was weird cool. If the fog machine just obscured her hiding in the haze, how did she move an unwilling Joker around? So it really must have teleporting properties.

Oh and cuz of that, Batman escaping by luck with the water tunnels was weak.
