Well, I just watched the finally of Tekkaman Blade, in its original form, much of the cuts for the English market was towards the end of the series and there was a load of alterations and stuff that never got explained properly in the English dub, such as what the Radam really are and what their true goals are, thou much of the show plot does remain intact but there are some baffling cuts, for example where D-boy/Blade visits his old home with his girlfriend, it paints his twin brother in a better light, thou both verisons, one thing is rather clear, the character of Lance, was pretty much a throw away character with no real back story outside of the fact they were on the ship that D-boy and his family were on when they encountered the Radam! The best changes the English dub did were:
1. The invaders name as a race, Radam, sounds like the creator couldn't come up with a better name for the race and just used Raman and swapped the M for a D
2. Tekkaman Evil name change to Saber as it fits in better with the rest of the cast name
3. Omega to Darkon, Darkon sounds far more evil and more like a actual villian compared to Omega

Pegas gets his name from one of the soldier characters who appeared after Blade had his powers restored, in the English dub, while the original, he was already called that!
The final battle, Blade is fueled by nothing but pure rage and doesn't say a single word until the spirtal moment between him and his older brother!
The final fight between the brothers, got butchered and Aki (Star's) dispair at being helpless was cut
Balzak, is the only character with a name that is pretty much the same in both languages, also cut was the fact that the woman he been living with on the farm, was carrying his child in her womb
Balzak's death, the english verison says that he surived reentry, but it was never shown
The Space ring weapons were bought back online towards the end and used upon the Radam trees
Scenes of D-boy's family before the conflict got cut
Dagger had his real name said about once before his death, same with Lance thou Dagger had more screen time than Lance did as Lance ended up as cannon slaughter
Omega/Darkon, had to sleep for the final stages of connecting to the Mother ship and bringing it back online, this was never mentioned in the English verison and makes Saber's upgrade to Blaster mode having some more sense as its not Omega/Darkon that gives him the power directly but Sword as she put in charge of protecting the mother ship until his awakening
Noal had a scene in the final part of the last ep cut, in the English verison, he shown driving the jeep to start with but the missing scene is him with a walking aid making his way out
There is others but I'm not going into great detail as some of them are unimportant
