As much as I would love to regain even a speck of faith in the Alien franchise, I'm afraid Romulus was my last hail mary and they fumbled the ball.

It is. Im sure we are going to get the ship self destructing or maybe even a Predator showing up as one of the other aliens to clear the slate and wipe out most of the evidence.
