I bought a PS5 a few months ago, so I've been spending a lot of my free time there. Played Baldur's Gate III for my first game on it. Finished my first playthrough of it about a week ago. Still playing around with the different endings I can get starting from the point of no return and trying to decide what character I'd like to play next, but might take some time away from it first.
Meanwhile, watched most of my wife's playthrough of Dispatch. I say most because she decided to pull an all-nighter when I had to get up for work the next morning, so I didn't get to see the last chapter. I'll probably give it a try myself at some point.
Just started Alan Wake the other day. I think I'm about half way through the main game. Could have played it on PS4 previously, but loaded it onto the PS5 along with the second game. Thinking I might go for Control and AW2 once I finish it up.
I have to say, I'm starting to hold a major grudge against BG3. I've always preferred inverted controls for the camera. It just feels more natural to me to tilt the stick where I want to move the camera, rather than where to tilt the view while in third person. But BG3, big as it is, somehow doesn't include an option to invert the controls. And after a few hundred hours of dealing with backwards camera controls, I actually struggled for a bit when I started Alan Wake. I got over it after a little while. But then I got to control a car for the first time. It turns out that the option to change the camera controls just doesn't apply in vehicle mode!
I could probably deal with just having the controls be wrong for the sporadic vehicle sections, but after having been forced to get used to non-inverted controls, I'm feeling like I don't have a natural default anymore. I'm struggling each time it switches.
Combine all the above with a few similar issues I've run into in the past, plus my daughter's preference to use non-inverted, and it's feeling like being able to keep my preference is a losing battle. I'm disgusted to say I might just have to permanently switch to non-inverted controls.
