The Omega Prime thread is like the third search result for "Omega prime". The first two are your post above and Sabrblade's.

No notice for me yet, but I also bought in fairly late, so if they're going in order, I'll be farther down the list. Well, we weren't expecting it until fall anyway, I can wait a while.

I looked on Hasbro pulse website for mine and it says July 3rd, so that could mean pretty much anything, but my guess is that, its the 3rd of July when he should be shipping out, but we'll see

Many, MANY reports of a severe QC defect.

Inner robot Prime uses the same torso transformation as the original figure from 25 years ago, with a long "spine" and a chest that has to get pulled / pushed around it. The tip of the slider bar in the spine is too big to safely make that move, and many people are reporting Prime's painted abs have large vertical cracks all the way through the plastic.
It can happen directly out of the box, or after any number of extensions / contractions of the chest (like if you're okay the first two times it can still happen the third).

Apparently there is a fairly easy fix... fortunately the parts are all screwed together, no pin work.

I can't remember the last time we had a build error this severe, let alone on a much-hyped premium crowdfund. Many are blaming a rush job to ship before the tariffs, but I think it's more likely the fault of losing so much experienced staff to layoffs.

Between the Medical messes and the house repairs I am not sure I even want to bother with it. I wonder if I do ebay it sealed and unopened, a disclaimer of "I have not in any way opened or inspected the box, any QC issues must be taken up with HasbroPulse" would be adequate, I usually only move things after I've had my own fun with them, but the situation right now isn't great for me, and I'm just looking at what I can do that will help the rebuild/repair prospects for health and home. Usually I'm the first one to take a bot apart, fix it, and slap it back together. I'm actually good at it and I have every tool you can think of for it, But had I known this mess was going to happen for me, I'd have skipped it. The real 'bleh' part is I ordered it from an optometrist's office back when the eye issues were first starting. Go figure.

if it's sealed in box, it's sealed in box: neither you nor the person you buy it from have any way of knowing the quality of the item inside, just like every other person whose buying one.

am i misremembering or does every single haslab transformer have some QC problems

quality jive hasbro.
I own Unicron, Victory Saber, and Deathsaurus and don't recall any QC issues with any of them. Omega Prime might be the first one.
