So... My Little Pony. Like a lot of people, the huge breakout success of MLP Friendship is Magic caught me by surprise. I was just finishing undergrad/starting grad school when it kicked off and I went from surprised, to annoyed it was seemingly everywhere, to curious. I checked it out, fell in...

https://www.tmz.com/2026/08/27/peter-cullen-dead/ I don't really know what to say. This man was in many ways the voice of my childhood. RIP Peter. You were a hero. The best kind of hero.

Figured we could have a thread for the announced SDCC 2026 exclusives. First, we have Blaster with the Kiss Player cassettes in a Jem Collab. And then we have a Legacy G1 Prime in toon colors with a toon head, a trailer, Roller, and a mini Jazz as a cereal homage.

I've always loved The Phantom of the Opera as a story/franchise/whatever you wanna call it, and I've been on a kick of it lately. Re-read the original novel, revisited the big movie adaptations, even re-read the iffy pseudo-official sequel, The Phantom of Manhattan. And Skybound's coming out...

So my joke mixing The Phantom of the Opera and Transformers maybe isn't so off! Skybound, who publishes the current run of Transformers comics, is doing a Phantom of the Opera four issue mini series as part of their Universal Monsters subline. Obviously this has nothing to do with the wider...

I went ahead and made a new thread for these, since it doesn't appear as if these have Studio Series, Age of the Primes, or Collaborations branding. Anyway here's a thing!

So... this is a thing. https://news.tfw2005.com/2026/02/13/the-transformers-the-movie-the-apology-tour-hasbro-is-sorry-for-killing-optimus-prime-556916

So this is a special kind of glandular obsession but hey, that's what we do here. I've always loved faction symbols. I think they're a huge part of the charm of the franchise, and I think they're a reason why it became so memorable. It's a longstanding belief in child psychology that boys...

So I've been enjoying Cyberworld, and I decided to pick up Optimus and Megatron. They're fun budget toys! But Optimus in particular looked like he needed a little bit extra in the deco department. Paint has never been my strong suit, and I'm not brave enough to tackle his leg and hip details...

YouTuber BotsObsession, YouTuber Angel of Alchemy, and I (most certainly not a YouTuber) did a podcast!

Stealing Steevy Maximus' post, but only in the name of justice forum organization. Sabrblade is right, Cyberworld needs its own thread. https://news.tfw2005.com/2025/01/22/transformers-cyberworld-first-look-530378 We have some character art on display, but will probably see some full reveals...

So SS '86 Galvatron had me in a bit of a pickle. His deco was PERFECT. Pretty much my mind's eye of what I wanted a toon coloured Galvatron to look like. He was an instant get as soon as I saw him... except I already had a purple Galvatron. Granted, the Kingdom version's deco wasn't perfect, but...

I always wonder if the people who said that stuff were ever kids themselves because while I'm almost 40 these days (💀) I very much remember thinking it would be neat if my toys that couldn't pose that well could do it as well as those that could. I mean my dudes had to be able to pull of sick...

So while everyone else is excited about Studio Series '86 Optimus I... decided to do this. See, Sunbow accuracy isn't really my thing. I find the decos a bit too flat and plain for my liking. I don't think strict adherence to toy decos is the way to go either, but if I had to pick "Sunbow" or...

I only recently realized that the CW Hot Shot/PotP Inferno mould shared an alternate mode with DotM Sentinel Prime, specifically a Rosenbauer Panther 8x8 firetruck. This, and the general excitement behind my favourite problematic boy with the ML repaint and his role in TF One, pushed me to try...
