My take is…the current retail or management environment would only allow for single product line for DC, at least at the moment. Batman, while still quite popular, has cooled in the past decade relative to where he was in the late 2000s to 2010s, where the character was still receiving a steady...

Not far off. From what I've read, while Iran is supposed to be agreeing to keeping the Straight of Hormuz open and a stop of military actions...in exchange they get some $25 BILLION in unfrozen assets (depending on nuclear agreement), PLUS another $300 BILLION in a reconstruction fund, lifting...

The late 90s was basically "taste the rainbow of Batmen". Feels like a LOT of modern collectors have either forgot or weren't around for it. Kenner DID do a few female figures...but you'd never see them because all the trading card/comic book speculators had jumped ship to toys by that point...

I’m also more than a little miffed that they pulled the greatest sin of the late 2010s: they spend SEVERAL post-credits sequences teasing sequel or spin offs that will probably not happen. It seems whenever a film makes overtures to “promise more”, it jinxes the film itself. Skeletor’s “I’ll...

I don’t disagree. As I’ve said, the industry, as a whole, is still some $3 billion worth of revenue down from where it was pre-pandemic. And despite the best efforts of all involved…neither Amazon/MGM, Mattel, the production crew, or the fans could seemingly muster enough attention for this...

A few updates About the film and toys: First off, Target is running a $10 off $40 toys promotion. In addition, they appear to marking down to clear out their current Origins exclusives (probably for the next wave, expected to hit in a few weeks). Origins Film He-Man and Spikor, alongside...

Target is running a buy $40, save $10 deal this week, with some older exclusives finally being marked down online.

I’ve been saying…I think that, tooling permitting, Mattel isn’t going to be shy about changing deco up on main characters. And again, the first carded Batman’s art actually features the classic oval sigil, not the Rebirth outlined sigil. For a casual fan, like me, that 3 pack Batman is “good...

Technically, it’s Amazon/MGM :p But Amazon’s lack of focus on theatrical makes performance hard to gauge. Earlier this year, they released Project Hail Mary to widespread acclaim and a haul of nearly $350 million domestic to a worldwide total over $680 million. But they also seem content to...

There’s something to be said here…but I’m in no position to say them as I work in an ICU (and have for 20 years) and the things we say and do while dealing with death and the crazy people…probably get us all fired from other jobs. I will say, though, the “full moon effect” is real. And nurses...

Announced via The Loyal Subjects social media, the next wave of MASK, “The Heavy Hitters”, will be going up for preorder July 7th from BBTS and other partner retailers. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/MASK Reminder that the wave will feature (with modified names), the Jackhammer, Gator, Piranha...

A look from Travis Knight for “Mer Man”. Knight said he wanted to get Mer Man into the film, but just couldn’t make it work. So the props/effects guy put together a “Mer Man” they could use for crowd scenes (who reportedly showed up in the post-film “Moral of the day” scene)...

Super7 has ReAction+ Wave 9 available now! Wave includes Lady Jaye, comic colors Zartan, comic out-of-dive suit Deep Six, and a Viper Gunner (originally an incentive for the Cobra Mothership project).

Pre=Orders went up today for the Pulse exclusives (in the US, international folks get these as fan channel): Red Pads Grand Slam with HAL VAMP Mk2 Action Man And during the livestream this week, the Hasbro guys revealed renders for the Legacy Avalanche Rescue and 91 Dusty. I'm interested in...

It was Hanna-Barbera, you should be happy it wasn't worse

I'm, frankly, at the point I wish the media would STOP reporting every single time Trump would post about an "impending agreement". He's been talking about this "war, but not a war" being close to ending SINCE IT BEGAN. Unless something is in legal writing, it's all noise to jack with the...

Some minor news on (one of?) Paramount's next Transformers film: Reportedly, Jason Fuchs (Showrunner and co-creator of IT: Welcome to Derry) is taking on a writer's role of the new film. Rumored to pick up off the end of Rise of the Beasts, which featured Noah Diaz being recruited by the GI...

In Demand Toys has images of the new DC Premiere multipacks. The 12" Scale Batman, Nightwing and ManBat set and the Batman/Clayface set are seemingly mass retail offerings (already up for preorder). The Batman vs Clayface set even sports a mass retail friendly open box design. The other packs...
