    The new Transformers Deal Thread

YMMV, but Walmarts around here are starting to clearance their toy aisles. Got Swapticon 2-packs for $5.50 USD, the Chiefs Crossover for $10 (but no markdown on the Packers one), seeing some Cyberworld markdowns, such as Scorponok for $30. Nothing very consistent between stores here, so if you...

    Studio Series discussion

I would guess its more an issue that the recent versions of 84 characters already skewed heavily towards Sunbow-accuracy, so an SS84 line would be seen as redundant, or at best maybe "this figure from 1-5 years ago, but 5% more Sunbow"? There's a few characters who might benefit from a redux...

    G.I. Joe thread - 2027 Preorders begin

Maybe keeping it simple is the way to go? My brothers and I would point to the movie Where Eagles Dare (based on the Alistair MacLean novel) as a template for a decent action movie that could work with GI Joe and Cobra. Not saying they should wholly plagiarize it, but it would be a good starting...

As i think about it, Mysterious Prime does sound very...mysterious. Maybe he can also cut guns in half with his mind?

    Transformers Collaborative series

Exactly. If there is going to be a separate Scooby robot, the only correct choice is a corresponding Shaggy-bot. Doing the whole gang only makes sense if they're all separate unique robots. Which would be neat if they were committed to make 4 separate variants of the Mystery Machine, but I'm not...

    Transformers Collaborative series

This has got me a little puzzled, as well. The Scooby gang is quite a variety of builds, so one robot trying to be all 4 seems a little over-optimistic. Unless the 4 heads are different expressions of the same head, which would be awesome. Also, the "Mystery Machine-inspired" bit does not...

Weren't the Armada BW Transmetal redecos portrayed as Heralds of Unicron? Those might look cool.

Timey Wimey Business- a thread for Doctor Who

I have watched Dr Who off and on for as long as I can remember, originally on Iowa and Nebraska PBS in the 80s. Tom Baker was probably my first Doctor (I have pretty vivid memories of watching bits from The Seeds of Doom on our black and white tv), and remains my favorite.

If we got an Airwolf that played the A-Team theme, I would be cool with that.

    Transformers Collaborative series

Never got Rescue Roy, but I did pick up Charlie Chopper and Pete Police for one of my brothers, and Speedbot and Mototron from the following line (that became Go-go-Gobots); I would welcome Generations iterations of all of those (alongside the rest of the Rescue Bots cast).

The excavator Megatron is a neat idea that I would like to see explored in an actual transforming figure. As these stand, they are an interesting novelty, but not something I feel an overwhelming need to own.

Transformers: Age of the Primes Thread: ll First Post All Listings II Update : April 12th, 2027 Bonus Wave: Repaint fun, Beast Wars, G2, Machine Wars

During the height of movie era toys, when we had like 5-10 varieties of Camaro Bee on the shelves at any given time, and it was said that this was good for the brand because it was what parents and retailers wanted, I suggested that they release several Bumblebees in variant colors: Street Prowl...

Yeah, the A-Team van would be a much more likely candidate for a Freakwency retool. (It would have to be shorter to be screen accurate, but as an homage to some of the old Ertl releases would be hilarious.)

    Transformers Collaborative series

I agree that Freakwency is a solid mold, after getting to play with it, it's got a pretty intuitive transformation and decent proportions. The only real problem, to my mind, is that the only Mystery Machine that matches that style of van is the movie version. While that's not a bad thing in and...

I forgot we were robbed of a Core Dinobot! Someone at Hasbro needs to find an excuse to make that happen. I still think they ought to continue the Core scale with 2(or more)-packs at a higher price point. Either team sets or vs-packs, but there is still demand for smaller figures among...

His altmode even looks a lot like the Power Warrior jet! Don't make me want this figure! Seriously, though, with combiners abandoning the Scramble City combination style, Power Suits would make sense to provide limbs for a universal combiner core.

To add to this, we knew fairly early on that Nexus was slotted into a Voyager release, and I know this confused a lot of people; by that time, Hasbro was clearly committed to the frame system for combiners, and that frame doesn't fit in a Voyager price point. If they had made Nexus a...
