Your right, as a fellow bat lover: he shouldn't be any bigger then Commander Class. :P

Technically no. Garp is just a vice admiral, and refuses to rise to the rank of Admiral or Fleet Admiral, though considering the name of the current Fleet Admiral... well I guess they are still ran by a monkey... And Luffy only desires to be King, but also doesn't really have a desire to have a...

Clearly they are setting up for a Smash Bros Movie

Luffy's Father is probably the most major background character; even though we see him very little A LOT happens due to his actions or choices.

You have to remember the writer's strike hit during those three years and effected a lot of productions schedules. They also needed to wait for Season 2 to get greenlit, while Season 3 was greenlint with season 2 was still in production.

I feel it is very intented for newbies like you and my roommate to assume Luffy is who Roger is talking about; becuase that scene in the Manga/Anime doesn't happen for like 5 or 6 more arcs. It seems like Season 2 and 3 are basically being filmed back to Back, so yeah likely everyone important...

They mentioned it would be after Liokaizer starts shipping.

Personally, I really like them; they feel like a modern take on the feel and tone of the old Marvel Comics but using the Sunbow Cartoon as a basis. Do I like this better then IDW? Not really, but that's like saying I don't like Cybertron as much as I like Beast Wars, and I still really like...
