HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

They don't HAVE to make a new campaign after the previous one finishes.

I'm sure a few wouldn't mind a significant break between high priced, exclusive items.

This is looking better and cooler with each update. And I've been getting hit HARD with FOMO, especially since I've recently started talking myself into going into the framerverse.

Alas, even if I'd made that conceptual crossover in time, I'd still be well out of the running. Not being able to afford things is not fun.

Define "significant".

I mean, seriously, SS'86 Hot Rod is something I'm having to plan around as a one-off, and IIRC, the HasLabs have come a year or so apart. So as an onlooker who is not a part of the HasLab scene, I'm honestly, genuinely curious what the ideal time frame would be.

It's tricky because just because you're into one HasLab doesn't mean you're into others. I'm a huge JG1 weeb, so I went for all the Victory HasLabs. Still, I passed on Unicron and RiD Omega Prime. And I certainly appreciated that break between Deathsaurus and Liokaiser!

I've gone in on three of the five so far, but there's no guarantee that the next one will be something I'm into. If it's, say, Primus? That's an easy pass.

I wish we had some idea of when the next one will be announced. Omega Prime and Lio Kaiser were announced in January 2024 and February 2025 respectively so it seems like we're a bit overdue.

I think they are waiting to see how the fans/customers react to Liokasier, after all Omega Prime had some serious issues regarding the torso area, so they are likely waiting for when fans get the figures in hand because it was a major blunder that humilated Hasbro and exposed a QC issue and its a preumium product, not a normal off the shelf product plus it was wide spread, so if LioKasier is recived well, they'll likely launch their next crowd funder, whatever that might be!

Could be. They might have also gotten feedback after the last few campaigns that more time between would help with sales.

I assume there's some kind of loose pattern or rotation with the other IPs'ses HasLabs. The Pulse app lists the Star Wars gunship as in production and has the Tron one listed too. They only do so many a year, and Hasbro has a bunch of brands.

The next HasLab will be Liokaiser again for those who skipped it out of fear due to Omega Prime. Or they may run with my idea of a new Beast Wars style base-former that's a giant Labrador dog who turns into a Hazardous materials laboratory for Wheeljack. So the next HasLab will be a Lab Haslab named Haz-Lab.

Or just Gigatron in both colors. Whatever.

I'm in the same boat, I had it ordered, but cancelled it in a doctor's office when I had to do a $3000 medical scan. There wasn't any way to compensate in time due to how HasLab funding windows work, and I am NOT risking important stuff for a toy. So my plan is to live vicariously though other people's pictures. Bright side, it does look like Bruticus should work, and I had thought that was going to never happen for the exact same reason. Things improved a bit.

Liokaiser is my first and so far only Haslab. I have an irrational love for the Breastforce, the CW Destron version was missing 2 members, and the Deathcobra unlock sealed the deal.

That said, unless the next Haslab is something Gobots-related, I am probably out for the foreseeable future. It's too much money to plunk down in one go on an even semi-regular basis on my budget.

You made the right call, and I'm glad things are a bit better.

Same. It's my first go-round with a Haslab. I love the idea of them, they've just been too pricey, too outside my interests, or a combination of both until Liokaiser. I'm glad that they've come up with a format to allow things that fans want but would never get released at retail.

I've gone in on every Transformers HasLab so far. I was on the fence about Omega Prime, and he's probably the least "HasLab-y" HasLab so far. It doesn't mean that I don't like him (and maybe it's because I still have the original Super Fire Convoy), but he's still pretty nice. Unicron takes the cake as the best though, IMO.

I really wanted Victory Saber, but it just came out at the worst possible time for me.

I bit the bullet on each one thus far. I'm not in a rush to see the next one, but I'm curious about where they can go from here.

I've gotten Starsaber, Deathsaurus and Liokaiser, but the others were too expensive (and seemingly, full of QC issues).

Due to the high prices, I've cut back on regular (expensive) TFs, so I haven't bothered with any of the new combiner teams (except for Menasaur, which also inspired my snub, after Hasbro's bait and switch with duplicate molds for two of them) and most of the Takara exclusives (Zoids crossover, Missing Link, etc).

I think Hastak have dropped the ball with their brand at this point. Instead of making more affordable toys in an age where people have less money, they've doubled-down on raising prices to alienate more and more of their customers (both parents and collectors). I have started to buy more and more cheaper alternatives (52 Toys box-formers/Beast-Drive, Cang Toys Insecticons, KOs, Chinese/Korean alternate brands, etc) than Japanese-made TFs (as I live in Japan).
