I was travelling with a copy of the Hitch Hiker’s Guide to Europe by Ken Walsh, a very battered copy that I had borrowed from someone. In fact, since this was 1971 and I still have the book, it must count as stolen by now.

I think that the BBC’s attitude towards the show while it was in production was very similar to that which Macbeth had towards murdering people – initial doubts, followed by cautious enthusiasm and then greater and greater alarm at the sheer scale of the undertaking and still no end in sight.

Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was, Oh no, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

I can neither confirm nor deny. I am uncertain of everything, including my own existence. If I ever have to answer questions under oath, in all likelihood, I might be screwed.

That's what I try to do most of the time. But when it comes to those movies I've seen 100+ times since childhood, ripping them a part with logic is just part of watching.

You know, I never did get to see Transformers the Movie in the theatre. But I did see it on VHS, television, several different DVD's, Blurays and 4K Discs...and each and every one had it's own idea of how the colors should look in certain parts, to say nothing of opening crawl vs no opening...

Last week was busy. But today is for: Clue, 9 to 5 and Transformers the Movie. RIP: Tim Curry, Dolly Parton and Peter Cullen.
