For me it's also the scene after, where SG Octopunch clunkily works in "I'm my own worst enemy" when reconnecting with his team.
There's more whiffs from that comic, but this is relevant to Octopunch and the discussion about same-name encounters.
Same. I've been lucky so far where the multipacks (especially the 4-packs) are generally cases of me liking the "we saddled even the expectedly popular thing with these" parts, even to the point of just wanting the entire pack.
But not everyone is like that, nor should they be. For one thing...
I do relate with both those concerns, more the former than the latter (I've had somewhat good luck with the multipacks in that the contents range from "must have" to "not bad"). Idk about "these days", as that seems to be a tale as old as time with multipacks, at least more often the case than...
The Titans Return figures hold up. I'm not surprised about the lack of updates, although I'd love to see what can be done with the current design style.
The main thing I want is a Mindwipe whose wings/legs aren't doomed to eat themselves or stick to other stuff or both. Also, Weirdwolf got the...
I wish I'd gotten the Takara EZ Collection release of the individual cars in the ice cream truck's colors. That's a bit of clever fun I didn't have room in the budget for at the time.
Even sales issues might not be down to the characters, at least not at first.
The ROTF ones were terrible toys, like many other overcomplicated toys in the line. That Leader class Optimus is one of the best of all time but it got plenty of online storefront reviews from disappointed parents...
It can be tricky to make it good and acknowledge the joke without getting clunky about it. The Botcon 2012 encounter between Octopunch and SG Octopunch was... less than funny. (That SG Octopunch looked great though.)
To be fair, if you have to go that far back to point out an example, that suggests things have improved since (especially with the Insecticons as a point of comparison).
It hasn't been uniformly effectively done in all instances, and given the sizes/lengths of lines shrinking it's taken a fair...
That seems like an odd assurance to make. It's entirely true, but that kind of speaks to how weird the situation is to begin with.
They're bleh characters, but that's about it. I'm sure morons starved for something to make content out of would have a field day, but that's true of everything a...
It would be nice for a new round of Retros that bring in the other Targetmasters, Jumpstarters, etc. Twin Twist and Topspin could even go carded now that that line has that kind of packaging.
If anyone needs a new run, but with some changes, it's Mindwipe. I'd be fine with the same figure...
I remember Steevy was spitballing a while back about how these lines would be rejiggered, and that did seem like a possibility. It's just simultaneously amusing and cringe that this is the direction things went. Like unluckiness says, it's silly to think there's a difference anymore other than...
I don't know how it happened, but one of these Sunstorms has GOT to be the Earthrise mold. If it's the single release, I can save so much money.
If the 4-pack is the Siege mold again (effectively reissuing the Rainmakers but with Sunstorm) and the single is SS86, I'll be SO annoyed.
And now...
It's funny how my mind's eye has always retained this color impression as what the toy looked like.... but actually looking up the toy now I see it's decidedly not THIS color; it's much bluer than this.
It does seem less saturated than the screencaps I've seen, so maybe this was an in-between...
