They'll bring 'em back for that one-night-only screening.

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Tour

Just you watch, in another ten years, we'll get a 50th anniversary release that's been needlessly converted into 3D with a pair of glasses included in the case, and it'll be the uncropped fullscreen version that they'll market as a special long-lost IMAX version found deep in a vault somewhere...

Batman: Caped Crusader coming August 1

Yeah, I felt like the first season was mostly PG/borderline PG-13, while this one was more PG-13/borderline R. In addition to the death violence, the cussing also seemed to be upped. No F-bombs but much more frequent, casual swearing than the lesser amount in the first season.

The jankiness of TF lore: a feature, not a bug

"Roll for It" was Episode 5, before the planet got moved in "The Ultimate Doom".

Wait a sec. Optimus is mirror-flipped from that poster and given extra shading and sheens.

The jankiness of TF lore: a feature, not a bug

"Roll for It' showed Cybertron to be all the way far outside the Milky Way galaxy: Though, there also shouldn't be all those stars surrounding it; it should instead be an empty black void of space.

And Dreamwave. Can't forget about Dreamwave when it comes to adding the Thirteen to Furman's mythology. ;) And then there are the few attempts to say that "both" are true, that the Transformers were created by both the Quintessons and Primus. The first was the 3H "The Wreckers" comics for...

The jankiness of TF lore: a feature, not a bug

Interestingly, there was an even earlier origin story for the Transformers told in the Japanese magazine Comic BomBom in 1985, "A Birth of Planet Saybertron" (the actual Japanese title more accurately translates to "The Secret of Planet Seibertron") that predated even the Quintesson origin. It...

    Blokees

Aren't Blokees made not by Hasbro, though? Blokees is a Chinese company separate from Hasbro and TakaraTomy. If you really want a Blokees Grandus, you're ransom-noting the wrong people. ;)

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Tour

Yeah, I remember it was initially hard to find the lenticular-specific version of that DVD, as most stores just had the normal Optimus cover version. I specifically held off on getting that DVD until I finally found the lenticular cover version... only to find out that it wasn't actually the DVD...

    Toy shelf head Canon

I have four versions of the Kingdom Galvatron mold: Legacy (purple w/ no scuffs): His own person, a la IDW Galvatron Selects (gray toy colors): Galvatron II or Marvel UK Galvatron (depending on my mood; mostly just "Marvel-esque Galvatron from an alternate future") Studio Series 86 (blurple)...

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Tour

I mean, Unicron is right there, coming down to smash into the ground like he's the Moon of Termina, along with Megatron providing heavy suppressive fire and Starscream, Thundercracker and Shockwave presumably following suit. The best thing Optimus can do in the heat of that moment is get as far...

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Tour

Has Don Fig ever even seen this movie? The Autobots spend, like, half the entire movie running away from fights: They flee to safe and secure locations to better defend Autobot City when it's initially attacked by the Decepticons, rather than foolishly confronting the enemy head on. They...

The jankiness of TF lore: a feature, not a bug

Well, it did keep the toyline going for as many years as it was dead in the U.S. prior to Generation 2. ;)
