"Let's see Optimus Primal do this!" Season 2 arrives "Dammit."

Yeah, I like Sunstorm as the first post-beast era new G1 character that got a significant spotlight, but this not this much sadly. Part of me wants to grab it due to the MTO nature of it, just to make sure there's one more in the world, but it wouldn't hurt for me to start cutting back on spending.

Not paying $150 for Sunstorm and 3 figures I already have the actual cybertronian modes for.

Given how some of the Decepticon combiners have turned out (i.e. dumb as bricks) it may more be the case that the Decepticons are willing to make them out of teams that don't get along well with each other. Any team of 5-6 idiots will do, Megatron just wants them for destroying stuff anyway.

Right, but $180 (or $172) isn't $200, so where'd the $200 figure come from?

Don't like the '86 mold and I don't need earth mode versions of the Rainmakers, I already have proper siege versions. Still want Sunstorm, but I hope the rumored Dreamwave mainline version is still happening at least. Though where is everyone getting the $200 pricetag from? EDIT: The only...

That is a SMALL head.

I think some people were hoping they'd be done with G1 toon stuff already to make room for the remaining live action figures that the line was originally about. Doing Generation 1 stuff almost certainly means redos of figures that have already gotten toys.

They did a new mold for that 8trac bird from the Stranger Things set, so Scooby could be one too.

I'm just hoping "mystery machine-inspired" doesn't mean "we retooled Party Wallop" and the heads are a weird vestigial thing from that. I don't think that's gonna be the case, but the thought did occur to me.

Speaking of the Mystery Machine, nune at TFW2005 has come through again with a description of Mysterious Prime and Automutt https://news.tfw2005.com/2026/07/01/tf-x-scooby-doo-collab-mysterious-prime-automutt-description-567457

Also, where are you seeing this? I see nune posted the hint of "vroom" and let later clarified it as "sound a motor makes" which suggests to me we might finally see G2 Motormaster.
