One thing you can say about Bay's TF films is they didn't really worry themselves about continuity. Whatever he felt like doing, he just did it, regardless of what happens in the previous films and really, in complete absence of any planning for future films.
My question about what you reboot...
It'll be interesting to see what happens. On one hand, the popularity of Transformers is definitely on the wane (at least in theaters) and I don't know if bringing Michael Bay back will even do anything (it certainly did the original series no favors to keep him around for the duration). Then...
Apparently there were recent restructuring at Hasbro, and Emily Bader got laid off.

the longer I'm alive, the less the scenerio of "employee knows more than their boss, their boss just coasts on thier employees" seems outlandish and seem more like the default way the world works.
The last vestiges of the false continuity has been swept away! All hail the return of the true king: Michael Bay!
I.E. The Transformers/GI Joe crossover movie is apparently canceled.

I don't really have an issue evil autobots from a fictional standpoint(Personally, the whole concept of the war is very played out to me, so I've long since accepted I'm going ot be dissatisifed witih a lot of stuff) but I also have zero desire to pick any of them up.
As for what has been...

Failing to do somethign is technically new, I guess. The problem isn't that he sounded different, it's that he sounded BAD. He wasn't trying to find a unique voice, he was trying to do an impression that was beyond him and just wound up sounding terrible.
For me, the head is just too small. Titan's Return gave the larger figures extra crap around the heads so they didn't look at tiny, but the Scooby van doesn't have those, so he's very pin-headed.
If a larger head would work with the transformation scheme, I'd be more open to grabbing it.
Not Hasbro related, but apparently Toys R Us is going the spirit halloween route and are opening 120 stores for the holiday season

That's the thing though; there are multiple continuities where peace has been achieved or the war is otherwise irrelevant. Multiple continuities where the Decepticons have actually been defeated. And we're not even talking about minor continuities either. Trying to portray it as some kind of...
I'm at a loss about what the point of that short was. You make the effort to get Peter Cullen and Frank Welker back, attached to the most influential piece of media the franchise has ever produced... And you get this meandering, confusing 11 minutes of animation.
Opening with a truncated...
