A lot of stuff bugged me about season 1

Well for starters, everyone is in Starfleet now and it's not some barely mentioned institution of bad guys. Picard is back, Raffi is back, Rios is a captain, Elnor isn't a space elf anymore, Jeratti's murder of Madox was hand waved away as being cleared of all charges because of "alien...

Every thing that made me hate season 1 has been hand waved away and season 2's opening has everything I could ever love about it. I'm glad they took the fan feedback seriously and reinvented the show going forward instead of the (now) usual attitude of dismissing (And in some cases outright...

It probably just suppresses any broken links so it doesn't look ugly. But the tweet it was originally linked to is indeed non-existent.

The season over all is still worth a watch. This week's episode had a lot of "characters talking" about stuff that actually mattered so I was pretty happy with it. The story overall didn't necessarily move that far forward but I still felt like there was some substance here. Mild spoiler though...

Yeah I'll see about taking a look at it.

Good. That will give me time to slog through the last half of the last season. It's worse than watching paint dry

I'd recognize that Knight Rider font anywhere. I also wasn't aware that who played Cad Bane despite the voice sounding so familiar. Also, "Deep Fake" lol.

Well I have to say as a whole this week's return of Discovery was a bit of a let down compared to the stakes from the cliffhanger. I don't know what it is about sci-fi going out of its way to completely break the immersion in a setting and story by injecting "Space Casinos". They're terrible...

That's about where I am in life right now.

You or I never did - but don't forget before the internet there were entire call centers dedicated to providing hints to games at $1.99/minute

I think it's fantastic. This is the true evolution of the Star Wars universe post RotJ. If they want to use Book of Boba Fett as a backdoor to engagement with the setting at large, more power to them.

I messaged him and he's okay. Computer problems.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread but I'm surprised this is going to last until the end of the year. I just looked at the stock prices for IDW and holy jive.. it's barely 2 dollars a share now. I'm not even sure the company will last until the end of the year at this rate.

I really REALLY love Diaclone Ironhide, but I'm at a "no more pre-orders or purchases until further notice" stage for the moment, as tempting as it is.

Yeah, I've been too busy to post but I've been keeping caught up. I think the really hit it out of the park when they brought back simulations of the characters via sound clips. Some of them sounded a bit stilted, but it was nice with what they had to work with. It makes Lower Decks "references"...

I just got word of this and have been able to verify as best I can, But Jason Wiggans, aka Telly, has passed away. We weren't close friends but he was on staff a long time ago and through all the ups and downs of The Allspark Telly has been a shining presence here and was last active as late...

I did as a matter of fact. The more I think about this show the more it feels like two, completely independent and compartmentalized teams were asked to make scenes in a story and both versions were just stitched together post editing. The show can go from "Amazing" to "Why....?" several times...

If I had the time and energy I'd lay the Naked Gun theme over the chase footage

I like the show overall and I'm interested in seeing where it's going. But the hover round gang really jolted me out of the show and it felt like something you'd see satirized in Naked Gun rather than something that actually had any compelling weight in the tone of the series. Not the biggest...
