    LGBQT+ News & Articles

I think some of us are too laser-focused on the idea of hypocrisy being the ultimate "gotcha" and forget that it doesn't equate 1:1 to a person being wrong. It can be useful as a rhetorical device in an open debate, but it's pretty useless in discussions with people who already agree with our...

The US Supreme Court and its decisions

Trump is the broken clock who, when he's right twice a day, thinks it's AM when it's actually PM and vice versa 100% of the time.

    Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Also, when people were saying "all lives matter" and "what about the men", there was not an active terrorist group targeting white people or men, respectively, nor has either group historically been threatened on a global scale. Even when hatred against those groups of people is at its height...

OK but did it also give you a link to where it got this information, this time? I feel like it's only a matter of time before they remove that feature.

Oh sure, create a shortage of nurses and physical therapists just as the boomers are getting old enough to need constant medical attention; that'll go over great.

Nobody has the intention to invade Ukraine

I'm more concerned about his inability to make up his mind. First he wanted Ukraine to just surrender and let Russia own them, then he started approving measures to give them more weapons, now this.

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

Of all the divisions of the military I expected this to start with, I wouldn't have guessed Coast Guard.

Nobody has the intention to invade Ukraine

Musical warfare has been a thing for almost as long as recorded music, but I've only ever seen it used against people until now.

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Oh yeah, there's a lobby for everything. There's a lobby for lawyers who specialize in frivolous lawsuits, for crying out loud. I wouldn't be surprised if telephone scammers have a lobby too.

And people thought nukes were Pandora's Box. In hindsight I think I'd rather have lived with the ever-present threat of nuclear annihilation than what we're in for.

Heck, at this rate it's very likely x86's days are numbered in general. I'm not sure what x86 still offers that ARM can't do better, other than run existing software without the overhead of a translation layer.

We live in a capitalist dystopia

I don't understand the kind of mindset one would have to be in to go to the trouble of actually producing a physical product no one is ever going to use just for the sake of a joke. A joke that'll be funny for five minutes if it doesn't just make everyone miserable thinking about the dystopian...

We live in a capitalist dystopia

It was 50/50 whether that turned out to actually be a toy that's designed to indoctrinate kids into the idea of being under constant surveillance by a combination police/nanny state... or an actual surveillance camera pretending to be a toy. I guess it could hypothetically still be the second...

I'm not so sure of that. 99% yeas from Trump's own party in either house is insane. Do you really think you could get the Republicans in both houses to conspire to vote in completely opposite directions on something? EDIT: And for that matter, why would you when all you need to accomplish the...

<nerdtalk> That's through Flathub, right? Like the only things available in Discover out of the box are what's on Flathub? Honestly I predict we'll be seeing a lot more distros get on board with that idea. One of the most annoying things about managing a distro has to be the fact that your...

    Revenge of the Steam Machine.

OK, then it's a PC you can't upgrade that costs as much as one you can. Also, the people complaining about other platforms doing away with physical copies are probably not the same people who don't even own those platforms because they get all their games on Steam.
