It's disingenuous to frame it as if Don ever intended that specifically. Tactical retreats are one thing, but I mean... we all remember that iconic scene, no? Optimus Prime steps off the platform, his sensors registering explosions and radiation in the near distance. His voice is solemn as he...

I agree with all of that, which was part of my point -- if Unicron meant for them to be "enforcers", he messed up by not making them very capable of enforcing (by this I interpret the term to mean actively executing his desire to destroy or whatever rather than waiting for him to destroy and...

Figueroa also makes a good point. But even outside of that (and the minimization), it's just painfully generic and boring. At this point it's just a handful of key Evergreen names and a Unicron because remember him, and oh, sure, add the girl and that guy. And what the hell is up with...

It does vary. Teams and/or subsets get there eventually, but not always. They seem very keen on completing their Defender version combiners, and they're two for two on that (and perhaps will soon hit three with Volcanicus). We have all three main Seekers in robot mode and in jet mode. Unicron's...

A lot about the trappings of Sunbow is really a product of its time, and charming for it. There's an obligatory Fantastic Voyage episode. Something highlighting Noo Yawk. Quicksand, playing in snow, basketball, pastiches of celebrities, evil duplicates, Atlantis, Camelot, the Bermuda Triangle...

They know what they did.

Honestly the more unsettling thing is the vitriolic backlash. New band name! Called it.

I wish they'd get around to the other Dinobots in robot mode for Defender scale. Ah, well. They ARE just one more dino mode one away from rounding out that group.

Either they or Unicron messed up then, because prior to FFOD they seem to have just been chilling on their planet holding their little mock trials this whole time. They had spacecraft and soldiers and could in theory have hit Cybertron themselves.

This is more for the collection in general since the "display" is basically "there was a flat surface and a currently-opened/out toy". So much repurposing. And in some cases weird mixes of old and new characters. It helps to avoid just flat-out admitting that I bought way too many of the damn...

Would be funny if they accidentally bungled a quadrant lock situation and locked THEMSELVES in a slow-time pocket. But yeah, there's a nice little chunk of time for some stories about them getting into skirmishes with colonies or something.

I do too, oddly enough. There's something oddly appealing about the simple black-and-white deco. Although it would also be nice to see a lot of blue-and-whites too, like RID Prowl, Energon (Armada) Prowl, and so on. RID2015 Strongarm is a nice take on it. Prowl always stood out, and long before...

They've been making citybots in the Galaxy scale, but I'd have loved a tiny chonky Grandus.

This next wave is pretty cool. Kinda bummed at the lack of Nemesis Star Convoy, but then that's a pretty new thing. Interestingly, this also calls him Star Optimus Prime. It's a neat lineup that makes good use of its altmode slots (I'd rather not have those anymore since the Wheels series is a...

black_convoy on Instagram shares images from the Blokees Community Discord, unveiling the packaging and lineup for the latest series of Blokees Defender Version Transformers mini-kits. Series 8 is called Battle Stars, and fittingly, it features a strong lineup led by Battlestars... um... stars...

Didn't really claim anything was aimed at anyone; was just going off of the remark from the manga. But this is an actually even bigger achievement then. Even manchildren could understand the system!

Mm, good one, but maybe save it for April. Then again, I imagine a lot might have had that idea.

That box art is SO lovely. More deep cuts to mine. The names are even usable, although maybe a touch generic (and/or hard to secure). Caboose, Boxcar, Locomotive. Make triple changers out of these. And have the manga connect them to the Astroforce, Astrotrain's attempted squad from Triple...

Children in Japan are just built different. Understanding that there's a world where Transformers characters that collect Transformers memorabilia can sometimes have a disease that turns them into Transformers and can dream or will Transformers into existence is not really something you see a...

I just want the Ravage from the Soundwave set, but good luck with THAT.
