Coming soon! Maximum Iron Man! I jest... but it also seems very possible. It would be one of the easier releases for them to scrounge together. Maybe toss in a TAS s1 Tony head alongside the mullet s2 head just for completion's sake.

They'll do Astrotrain but use Spacewarp's colours for maximum irritation.

The funny thing is that of the two G1 Megatrons they did, that's the GOOD one.

I'm mixed on TLK Megatron. It's my favourite live action Megs design, but I have the original TLK Leader. While that figure was far from perfect, it was still a pretty nice, hefty figure for its time, and it had the mask swapping gimmick. The accessories forming the dragon is neat on this new...

There were some interesting tidbits coming out of NYCC. Apparently, due to being the same scale, the heads on the Core stuff will be fully interchangeable with the heads on the collector figures, which seem to be going by the "DC Legacy" label (apparently McFarlane Toys somehow kept the DC...

I admit I was on the fence. If I'd managed to get a Spiral the last time they released her, I likely would have. Sadly, I never saw her. So another chance to get Spiral plus the upgrade to the TAS look... was enough to get me to bit. I'm glad I did. The older version is still pretty damn good...

Being a Canadian living in the States has given me a... unique... perspective on the price hikes 😅

So I got Dr. Rand from Fresh Monkey Fiction/BBTS' Operation Monster Force line. Dr. Rand in the Monster Force fiction is a geneticist who experiments to create a werewolf serum. His base design also heavily invokes Dr. Quest from Johnny Quest, which is very fun. Half of the fun of the Monster...

So there are two releases. The first was a Marvel Legends retro card styled after the old ToyBiz Iron Man TAS releases. It was an animation accurate repaint of the metallic modular armour released in the main Marvel Legends line, and came with an alternate mulleted Tony Stark head, an alternate...

Crazy that we're still shocked by this. The old Star Wars and Marvel crossover figures, and the Titanium figures, should have been proof enough that doing a good transforming robot toy is hard if you haven't been working at it for years.

I always go back to Netflix Bumblebee. That mould had a realistically proportioned VW Bug and managed to get a pretty good robot mode out of it. True, it had some partsforming, but I'll take that all day every day over what Mattel just put out.

Called it.
