So Hasbro retooled nearly everything from the waist up with very similar in terms of function and appearance parts. Then decided the hammer was enough to justify Leader-class.
The sword rotors also bother me something fierce. It just looks wrong. Dammit Hasbro you already figured this out...
Looks like a decent Optimus with a giant useless box. As expected but I guess I was expecting more than a couple of blast effects at the Commander price point.

I use this stuff but I don’t think it’s as accessible on that side of the world.
generally, the stuff that R/C car enthusiasts use should be good on most types of plastic.
My personal aquarium’s not big enough to try floating combined mode. I may try in my parent’s massive goldfish tank if I remember to bring him along when I do maintenance.
I don’t understand what you mean by the robot mode like the Armada game…?
Lockdown seems like a poor fit since he’s a bounty hunter who works alone. This is probably just a temporary advisory role as a pirate consultant.
His qualification is the hook hand.
I use WIndows only because of a deep seated grudge I have against Macs since a Mac at our school computer room crashed so hard it lost high school me a day's worth of progress.
Last are the ship modes. I don’t have much to add, they’re basically the originals in different colors. They roll on tiny wheels and look close enough to ships, though they are noticeably thiccer. I imagine real ships look thinner because part of the hull is submerged.

Next up are the combined modes. First is the stock base mode.
it’s alright. Wish it had more floorspace but it works decently enough in terms of appearance. I particularly like the central un platform.
Here’s the base mode with my stuff on it. It’s the same just with more crap on it...

I kept my Takara Bulkhead as my display Bulkhead because the dark green was pretty, accuracy be damned. This one's probably taking his spot though between the better likeness and my primitive monkey brain loving the stupidly effective lightpiping.
Yeah, picked up my FE Bulkhead from my parent’s storeroom. His unpaintable gold parts somehow yellowed despite being inside the box but the green’s still the same. Overall, the mold’s great and the knockoff’s a decent way of gaining access.
I bought the knockoff First Edition Bulkhead. Have the original but the gold always looked off and this guy came with a lot of goodies. He’s a less yellow shade of green and has appropriate colors, though aside from the gold lights on the bumper and wheel rims, the paint scheme is identical to...
Bought a knockoff FE Bulkhead. The random gold always bothered me but never enough to fix it. Pretty good toy, came with a lot of stuff and colors are on point. He doesn’t stay together as well as the original but not enough to fall apart or anything. He also has the most effective lightpiping...
